Harv, you immediately came to mind when I read this. <g> I believe
there are 2 or 3 others (lurking lately) who are from The Lone Star
State.

BF> WOW! That's generous! That's almost exactly what I paid for my

No it isn't very serious at all... but it's meant to *look* serious to
the FEDs because air quality is bad enough that we're on their "list".
PL> (I do like like having a van though... it's great for

BF> So is horse and carriage. And a horse has true 4WD, anti-spin and
BF> anti-skid, ABS, etc. making it superior for any off-road travels.
BF> You still *DO* have some horses left in Texas, don't you? :)
HA!!!! There aint no Horses in Texas! Just Pickup trucks. I remember
moving from Phoenix Arizona to Texas in 1969... for some reason, even
at age 13, I expected to find horses and cowboys everywhere when we
got here. That was coming from Arizona, where you'd think it was even
closer to the "wild West", but without horses as well.

Yes, its true. My wife's car is a 95 Saturn and the Saturn place has made
me the 3500 offer twice on a new car. I keep her car in perfect shape
because I just do not want to hear about it and she will not take a new car.
The Saturn place and I had quite a falling out over a new starter for her
car. Would you like to guess what a new starter costs installed????? Would
ya huh??? About 600 dollars....... I raised so much hell that new car
buyers came over to see what all the shouting was about. They did not
lower the price of a new starter but they paid for the towing fee of $70.
The bendy had locked into the flywheel. You can't get a new bendix. You
have to buy the whole starter.
It is true that we do not have city crews to clean up the horse mess in
the streets anymore and if a horse was taken on the freeway,,,,,, it would
not live over the trip. We do have some communities with 8-10 size home
sites where horses are KING. :-)
