Squirrely - 14 Jan 2008 06:40 GMT Denises mom is going in early in the morning for surgery on heart. I think it is a bypass. I just got a message on my answering machine when I woke up from a nap and didn't get back to her yet to see if she was still home. Probably not since she was going down to stay with her mom.
They can use our prayers.
Signature Love and Hugs to all Jo the squirrely one I am nuts about you.

carole
Squirrely - 15 Jan 2008 06:38 GMT Yeah M, and Carole, her name is Ruth.
They did an angioplasy and put in two stents.
They are thinking about sending her home tomorrow and the surgery was just today and she is in her 80's.
Carole, by the way can you email me your phone number, I had it at one time but I guess it is the wrong one, I tried calling you over the weekend.

My mom had a very rough afternoon, even though the surgery went well - apparently a reaction to one of the medications, but not really sure. However, by evening she was very stable, and came home the following morning. We ended up having a delightfully lazy week together, and now she's girding up her loins for one final trip.
We are going to Tucson in about two months for my niece's wedding. It's funny how things keep coming up to give Mom something to keep her going. I'll be asking for prayer again when it's time, okay? ;)
I had a liver biopsy Thursday, and a mammogram Friday, and I may just pass on the next specialist I'm supposed to see. Each doctor runs some tests and passes me on to the next specialist, who orders more tests and sends me somewhere else. I've gone from my primary to a rheumatologist to a hematologist. She ordered mri, ecg, and mammogram, and has referred me to a cardiologist (I haven't been there yet) and a gastroenterologist, who dissagrees with the other specialists and so ordered the biopsy. I'm so tired of it, and I've got to conserve my energy for important things - like travel...
Okay, that's enough griping for one night. Again, thanks for your support & prayers.
