Okay - can't do the percoset....it made me throw up. Imagine vomiting right
after surgery. Ouch, ouch, ouch!! I am using Aleeve and my ultram. My ultram
is once in the morning and once at night. I use the Aleeve in the middle of
the day. So far, so good. It's really, really hard to do nothing all day but
watch tv or read, but I'm being good. It's too painful to do otherwise.

Love you guys and gals!!

DeeTee, I am so sorry...Glad to hear that you are home from the hospital,
but be sure you do as the doctors ordered...My poor husband is getting ready
to see his surgeon for about the 23rd time...No that isn't a typo....He has
had H#$#% with hernias...His asthma makes it so hard...he has had about a
ton of mesh put in and taken out. He has had Mylar and Pig Skin....Nothing
works for long...His last surgery March 6th 2007. I suspect we will be
headed for the hospital before the end of the month....

He needs to give it more healing time. I also heard from a future
daughter-in-law who is a nursing student and a working phlebotomist (I think
that's what they call someone who draws blood and works in the doctor's
office.). Anyway, she suggested I take the anti-nausea med they gave me for
the chemo this summer and then half and hour later take a reduced dose of
the percoset. So far that's working well (knock on wood!!). We'll see. But
it's the getting up and down that's really stressing the tummy.

oh DeeTee sorry to hear this. I hope they can give you something else for
the pain. Chris was like that too and couldn't take it because of getting
sick.

oh, I don't want to imagine throwng up after that type of surgery!  You're
making me grateful that all percocet does to me is make me spacey.  If Aleve
& ultram are doing it for you, you aren't reacting to laporascopic surgery
the way I did, for which i am also grateful!  Congratulations on being good.
you might want to reignite the fires for one of those computer games (you
know the addictive ones..) to help with the being good.

DeeTee, ask your doctor about HYDROCODONE (Generic for VICODIN).

I took 4 a day for 15 days following my THR surgery and that's
what saved the day for me.

And we love you.  Just rest and follow doctor's orders.  <g>
