2 1/2 hrs worth of testing. Pretty strange taking the meds, but I didn't
have to struggle trying to do

a treadmill. Get prelim results around Tues.

Hope thing went as well for diane.

gary, i think mine was easier than yours. only took about 1 1/4 hours.
the dobutamine made me feel a teensy bit icky, but they gave me
something to make me feel normal again very quickly. the doc told me
right there my heart is fine. he said the preventricular contractions
are benign, but if i can tolerate the atenelol (which helps with the
PVCs), i can keep taking it. he said 30% of his patients can't stand
how tired it makes them. i was already tired, so don't know if it's
made that worse or not, but it's nice not to have those PVCs.

i hope your results are good. and hope that dee tee's surgery is going
well.

Gary & Diane, so glad both of you came through without problems and at least
one good report.  Gary,  hope yours will be also.
See how that fear and worry was wasted!!!

Glad its gone so well for both of you. Let's hope its the same for Dee Tee.
Let this surgery be successful and fix things once and for all.

Gary and Diana...I'm glad it's over for you also.
Gary...hope you get good results.
Diana...I have taken Atenolol in the past and now on Inderal (basically
same type of beta blocker). I had no reaction at all to either...no more
tired than usual and they both keep my heart beating at a slower regular
pace.  Switched to Inderal when I could get the generic of it again
because it also helps my migraines and stops my hand tremors (wonder
drug for me)
Now all we have to do is hear from DeeTee and this weeks problems will
be solved.

I have also taken Atenolol in the past and really couldn't tell any
difference in how I felt.

Glad it is over for you too Diane and glad your heart is fine.

I have the PVC's at times too and the PAC's but mine seem to come from the
dehdyration issues that I have.

I'm glad it's over for you too, Gary!  For many years I had heard and
imagined all sorts of stress test horror experiences.  I never wanted one.
I was afraid I'd either have a heart attack while on the treadmill or pass
out, or hyperventilate!  But, my experience was nothing like that.  I did
the treadmill, but they didn't push me hard, and when they saw that my legs
were getting tired, they said they didn't need to keep going.  It was really
tolerable.  Whew!  Now, my fear is gone for this aspect of testing.  Nanny
