Of course you may, but you will need to turn off HTML if you want to share.

Sorry, I don't have HTML on, but I do have a TV2 box and it is notorious
for blank posts.

When I went to pick up a prescription Saturday I found the pharmacy shut
down and everything transferred to a big pharmacy chain that I don't
care for.  I asked them to transfer my scripts to another pharmacy and
they have been dragging their feet since.  They have given me all sorts
of excuses that aren't true:  no refills left, no record of a script,
the refills stated on my prescription bottle are wrong and their
computer is right, etc.  To solve it all I am going to have to contact
four doctors in the next few days and ask for new scripts to be called
in to the new pharmacy.  If I am this annoyed, not to mention confused
at first, how are all the other customers of first (closed) pharmacy
faring?  I expect to read the "rest of the story" in our local paper
probably on Wednesday or Thursday. It's particularly bad since this is a
long holiday weekend with doctor's offices closed and for lots of folks
it could be a disaster.  End of rant, thanks for listening.

That is one of my greatest pet peeves.  Is there some law or something that
if you need eight prescriptions filled, it is going to take at least eight
trips to the pharmacy to get them all?

I should shut up.  We've done fairly well with our current arrangement for
the last two or three years.  I could save some money by switching some of
them to mail order, but I hate to rock the leaky boat.

Jo, I hear you about all the separate trips to the pharmacy!!!!  The
insurance only allows a 30 day supply of each and they all come due on
different dates.  I feel as though I should get a job at the drug store
because I'm there so often.  I haven't tried mail order yet because I'm
afraid they would deliver to the wrong address.  I get my neighbor's
mail often and mine is always being delivered by a neighbor or a
stranger who got it by mistake.
Gee, I am really starting the year off by complaining, aren't I?

We use a local pharmacy (I think it's a national chain but a local
franchise) that delivers free (same day delivery costs $3.00, but next day
is free).  My mom and I get our meds out on Sunday afternoon and fill our
med boxes ( couldn't keep track otherwise ).  Then I call them in on Monday
morning.  They also deliver non pres med (mouthwash, etc).  It's call Long's
and we've been very happy with them for years.  We do have to call our GP if
a prescription runs out of refills, but otherwise, the drugstore calls the
doctors for refills.  I take about 12 medications and my Mom a few more.
When she was taking a narcotic one that had to be picked up, the doctor's
nurse would walk across the parking lot to another one of the Long's and
then they would take the prescription when they make a run to the other
store and drop it off, then our store would fill it and deliver it.
Complicated, but it worked quite well until that doctor moved to the other
side of town.  Now our GP fills it and we just have to go by there and pick
it up (it's quite a bit closer than the other doctor's office).  I could
mail order through the military, but I pay the same copay here.  I could get
a 3 month supply and only pay two months copays, but I think the convenience
is worth it.  My copays are only $3 for generic and $9 for brand names that
are on their formulary (approved drug list).  The others I have to pay a
percentage.  Since they put nexium as a generic, I don't have any others to
worry about on that.  You might try a letter to the editor of your local
paper and the manager of the pharmacy that's dragging their feet.  It is a
pain in the neck as well as a few other spots, but those type of people are
just like the spammers, it's funny until it affects them.  God bless.

I've been pondering this topic- most prescription meds have information
about do not expose the meds to temperatures below XXX degrees or above XXX
degrees.  During the mailing process I'm sure the meds get frozen in the
winter and very hot during the summer.  Could this effect the way the meds
work?  Or are the meds in temperature controlled shipping at any point from
the manufacturer to the pharmacy?  hmmm......

Ann,

I can imagine how hard that is for you. I feel for you having to change and
all that.

I hate that when they tell you no refills left when there is. I am getting
my pred refilled today and I told hubby to get the script copied before he
puts it in. The last two times there was 1 refill on the script and they
said no it wasn't. The first time I didn't know they were going to do that,
the second time the dr called it in so I couldn't do anything about it but
this time I will have a copy of it and prove it.

Yeah it is hard when they do this stuff right around the holidays. I think
they like to mess with people. ;-)

We had advanced notice from the local pharmacy that it would close
and the pharmacist was going to work for Vons/Safeway.  He said the
paperwork and redtape were becoming outragous.

With the notice, Mary and I were able to obtain new scripts and
use them at another local pharmacy.

We tend to shop local when possible to keep the dollars in town.
We don't like franchise pizza places or coffee shops, etc. etc.

... The USA has the best politicians money can buy.
