From the FDA website- the same info found in several other places-
Withdrawal symptoms may occur if ULTRAM is discontinued abruptly. (See DRUG
ABUSE AND
DEPENDENCE.) These symptoms may include: anxiety, sweating, insomnia,
rigors, pain, nausea,
tremors, diarrhea, upper respiratory symptoms, piloerection, and rarely
hallucinations. Other symptoms
that have been seen less frequently with ULTRAM discontinuation include:
panic attacks, severe anxiety,
and paresthesias. Clinical experience suggests that withdrawal symptoms may
be avoided by tapering
ULTRAM at the time of discontinuation.

Leslie,
Thank you for posting this. Our fur baby Abbie is on this and now some of
her behavior when we forget a couple of doses makes SOOOOO much sense. We
will be much more careful about her dosing, now.

Maybe so - but I have NEVER had any reactions when I have forgotten a dose
or run out of my prescription. I've been taking it for about 8 years now.

Funny how differently our bodies work with meds. I have also been on Ultram
for about 8 years. If I take a dose after 3 p.m. it gives me insomnia. So,
I take a dose when I first wake up, another before lunch time and try to get
a third dose in by mid-afternoon. If I don't get the afternoon dose in time
then I have to skip it- and if I skip it then I'll wake during the
night-usually towards morning- and I'll be in withdrawal with the sweats and
chills, insomnia, headache and nausea and a guaranteed bad case of restless
legs. The withdrawal symptoms all stop about an hour after I take my
morning dose.

....and very little chance it would become addictive. I've been taking it
for years, and have never increased the dosage. Nanny

I've never increased my dosage, either, and it's been about 8 years for me.
And it's still the same level of pain relief after all these years, too.
Thank goodness for that small favor!

I've taken it for ten years and never upped my dosage. I have
premission. Recently I had foot surgery and the surgeon, rheumy, and
I agreed to let ultram be the pain reliever for post surgery. (I
cannot take many of these) I took one extra the day of surgery and one
the day after. That made me so sleepy and fuzzy that I refused to
take any more! If I take an additional tablet (50 mg) I sleep it off!

Does anyone take ULTRAM TR100 or TR300?
I take just one TR300 in the morning and
have no problems through the day and night.
You could also take two or three TR100.
Just don't exceed the 300 daily maximum.
... Type hard. You are making 1,932,247 copies.
