lavenderhouse3812@gmail.com - 14 Dec 2007 19:56 GMT So I am getting everything scanned and MRI'd this month as I will not be insured next month (will probably die from radiation poisoning <g>)
Got my Dexa scan results yesterday and I have managed to reminerlize my bone completely. I had osteopena 4 years ago with my first dexa scan. I used a regimin of Chinese herbs, enzymes, liquid calcium and coral calcium and sublinqual vit D3 oil. I am now not only normal but my bone density is very very good (98th percentile for age group).
this is not only very good news for me but great news for any of us who have osteopenia. My old doc told me it couldn't be done without drugs and HRT. She was wrong

Aim - 18 Dec 2007 01:58 GMT M, that is AWESOME news. Clearly you have a source for the liquid D. We can't find liquid vitamin D anywhere around here. Our doctor discovered that T and I are both extremely low on it (11-12, normal is around 50)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Aim

speaking for myself . . . hunh?!
ok, harv, i know you are in pain with shingles, but that is no excuse. it is not acceptable to attack another asa member, just because you feel miserable, if that is the case. (having a bad day does not mean it is ok to "kick the dog", "hollar at the kids", nor "pick a fight with the wife" when you get home from work, just because home feels like a safe place to do that and get away with it. that's misplaced anger and it is wrong, as well as it being hurtful behavior to relationships.) so, what is with this kind of/your personally judgmental attack on melinda?
it looks to me like you stepped over the line once again, harv, and owe melinda an apology. there is nothing "brassy" about melinda offering to help aim, when aim asked for suggestions and kelly wanted her to notice aim's post. also, doctors can be and are wrong, from time to time--we all know that and have experienced that, at one time or another. and yes, melinda is who and what she is and i, for one, hope nobody and nothing changes that or her.
if you feel like taking your shingles' pain out on somebody else (who might oblige you by engaging in a battle to distract you from it), then go after rustyrump or any of the annoyingly countless spammers or trolls on asa. but, don't take your shingles' pain out on ***any*** of our asa family members.

Melinda has done much to help many folks on this forum, and only wishes to support and comfort. That does not deserve this kind of treatment.
Harv, I hope you do feel better soon, but picking at others isn't going to speed up that process.

***first off -- do NOT lump me in agreement with you, harv; and do NOT assume that i know and personally believe what you have worked yourself up into "thinking and/or believing" you know.
***secondly -- what i (and others in this group) KNOW is entirely opposite to what your maliciously suspicious mind has feverishly contrived to "think you know" about and use to viciously slander melinda.
***thirdly -- what i KNOW is that if we took a poll of asa members, of those melinda has helped or offered to help, you'd KNOW that she hasn't made one damn red cent off of any member here! and i KNOW you are dead wrong, harv! wrong in your judgment, wrong in your conclusions and wrong in the way you've treated and abused her.
***would you like to have a poll of our members, done on a separate thread, so you can finally SEE and KNOW how wrong you are about melinda and what an a.s you've made of yourself? go ahead, harv, ask your question/s and poll us on a separate thread about what melinda has really done for our asa family members . . . that is, "if" you really "want" the truth/facts about what melinda does and has done. i challenge you to do that poll. or are you afraid of knowing the truth/facts about melinda? and would you rather just believe your maliciously evil thoughts about her and rather just continue to spew your garbage about her here?

***fourthly -- no, harv, you are assuming again. it is clear to me that we do NOT understand each other. i don't understand how anyone/you can prefer sitting in the dark so that they/you can continue to believe in lurking monsters, when all that person/you has to do is turn on a light to see that there isn't one. and i don't understand how anyone/you can willfully and maliciously slander another person's goodness.
> it looks to me like you stepped over the line once again, harv, You said that and yes, I do tend to be Judgemental and the same values I had yesterday will be tomorrow.
***you need to reassess your harsh and offensive judgments that damage your values and your relationships.

sweetpickleNO@SPAMknology.net - 20 Dec 2007 03:33 GMT Harvey, Melinda has sent me several things and she has never charged me for anything. When M brings her side business into the newsgroup, I am going to get on her about it. She never defends herself and Kate always does. I am just the bad guy, kick my dog, ect.ect. I can not say this any stronger,,,,, this has nothing to do with shingles or how I feel. It has everything to do with a person using the people in this newsgroup in a business. In this case,,, AIM is using her as a doctor to help her problem. I thought we were not suppose to do that here as just members of this newsgroup. Aaaah but it is OK for M and Aim. Has Aim said where she is seeing a doctor and I missed it???? Gwen,,,, for every person who does not pay,,, many, many will and some even send it back. If this is all handled outside the newsgroup,,, its their business and none of mine. I think this is about our 3d go round over this and the methods used stay the same and we will see it all again if and when it is brought up again. Kate built a very good case on it being about me and how I feel. The next time we go around about this and she does not have how I feel then it will bout something else. For sure, not about doctoring in the newsgroup like Aim.

ANN M - 20 Dec 2007 15:46 GMT Harv, I try to stay out of arguments but I can't let you to continue to spread scandal about a very kind and thoughful woman without speaking up.
Until your vitriolic spewing of hatred I didn't even know M had a business. What I do know is that she sends thing to folks who ask for advice and also just sends things just to cheer folks up. This is out of her own pocket and not the business of anyone else. It is not soliciting or selling on the newsgroup! I am the recipient of her kindness when she sent me a bracelet and wouldn't take any money and again when she sent me some extra copies of Diane's books and wouldn't let me pay her postage.
If you have a personal problem with M, Aim, Kate or any of us, please keep it to yourself and don't inflict your opinions on the group. This is the season of peace on earth good will towards men so let us continue to serve our God and fellow man in ways that improve all of us.

Stone" > [quoted text clipped - 4 lines] > > Joan Harv, we have been going through this longer than three times. Let me clear this up once more. I am an acupunctutirst. In the stae of California I have primary care status and can diagnose and treat. People see me for their primary care provider. For years I worked with Doctor's Without Borders. I taught the interface of east-west medicine at the medical school at UCSF. I am a well educated professional. I do not sell supplements ever. I do not sell them to my own patients. I believe that a doctor who makes a profit off of supplements (including chinese herbs and vitamine c cannot remain objective about what her patients truly need.) I have been good friends with Susan Hoch (we called her doctor Susan) because of my beliefs about complementary medicine. I have over the years, brought this knowledge to this newsgroup. I helped write a software program that checks for adverse synergistic reactions between allopathic prescriptions and Chinese herbs. I probably still get at least three inquirires a month about the compatibility of a supplement with the meds someone is taking.I defended a guy named, I think, Gary, here years ago who used CMO (didn't sell it). I clearly defended his right to say CMO helped him. It was then that you decided I sold CMO even though I stated clearly on the newsgroup that I hadn't seen anyone helped by CMO
I am the person who went after the noni people, getting the California Attorney General's office involved. I started the infamous noni contest (which garnedred me threats from all levels of noni-land. I have for years been an advocate for keeping this group clear of salespeople.
As far as my post to AIM: go to those websites. They are owned by people much richer than I am. They sell to licensed healthcare practitioners and doctors at a wholesale rate. They are big big companies. My own patients can order supplements fro either company, using my user name and password, getting my very large discount. I make no money. If you want me to order you milk thistle, which I assume you are still taking, let me know. If you want to order it or your vit. c, or glucosamine using my account, let me know. i don't get points for selling the most supplements like
You have attacked me for years personally and much of it was about religion and politics.
So here's the thing, kiddo. You often diverge into areas that attack my professional reputation. That I will not allow. All of this is archived in ASA where I have been a member since 1997.
One last thing, I defy you to find one person in this newsgroup past or present that I have sold supplements to. If you can, I will pay you 10,000.00, straight across the boared as an IRS gift. If you can't, then stop this ridiculous stuff that really is about religion and politics. I have sent many things to many people here--people you know and supposedly respect like Walt, and KJ and Gwen, to name a few.I have never even let people pay for as much as shipping. I do that because my ability to help people enriches my life. It makes me profoundly pleased with humanity.
Well perhaps two last things: Use some of that angry energy to make this group a community, not a personal soapbox. Reach out and actually help someone on a real level. Larry and I were close close friends and our politics were radically different. I respected and loved him because he loved people not just with words but with actions. I am not sure just why you have this personal vendetta and I won't answer when you attack me personally but when you attack my professional credibility, you step over the line.
Oh yes, let's also stop the bully reality. Questioning Kate's intelligence is just plain silly. Her erudite commentary puts my writing ability to shame and her ability to address the issues while acknowledging the humanity of the person she disagrees with, is legendary.

You've made that very clear over the years, but please do NOT use your dislike of me to warp what I said, or what my intentions are. I am nothing but pure in my motivations at ALL times. I don't have time or energy to be otherwise.
Here is a direct quote. M mentioned she was taking LIQUID Vitamin D which is very hard to find and is precisely what my DOCTOR recommended as the pills do not work well enough if a person is very very deficient. I said to her: "We can't find liquid vitamin D anywhere around here. Our doctor discovered that T and I are both extremely low on it (11-12, normal is around 50) Any suggestions?" I specifically asked her if she had ideas where to find it. I wasn't asking for anything specific - if she had said "yeah, Trader Joe's or Walmart carries it - hey I have a discount card, want to use it?" it would have been the same thing.
She also immediately posted an apology, stating she'd meant to send her post via personal email and made an error. We all make mistakes.
I hope that clears things up a bit. I wish you well with the Shingles. I'm sure you probably have me blocked, as I was the only one in the shingles thread you didn't respond to, but I wish you well nonetheless.

I have a lovely place to live, and the most caring, loving, and respectful partner a person could ever wish for, who works in Child Protective Services doing a thankless job because the kids need an advocate. Life is good, and I know exactly who/where I am and where I'm going. If you feel I'm "struggling to find my way" because you think we don't believe in the same God, you may be wrong. I've intentionally never specified, as this is not the place for it. If you think it's because I had a rough time of it when I came to this newsgroup 8 years ago, well that would be fair to say, except that people do change. I've grown an awful lot in 8 years. Haven't we all had personal growth in that length of time? I feel sadly for anyone who hasn't. I would hope you would allow for opinions of people to change as they grow and change.
