Well. my computer told me there was an IE update available and it was
recommended that I download.... This is the new looking I.E. and I hate it.
It doesnt even have an icon on the  Menu Bar for "History"... you have to go
to
Tools, etc..e.tc...

I want my OLD Internet Explorer back? I tried to do a SYSTEM RESTORE with
about 10 different dates and it was UNSUCCESSFUL.

I also tried to go in and manually DELETE the new IE folder...
again no luck.

Can someone help? I hate this new Internet Explorer. I don't want it.
If it aint broke dont fix it!

If I can't get it off soon,  I am going to download NETSCAPE and just
totally delete all IE off my computer!

Jeeze!

I'm with you.  Whatever you do, do not download "Family Safety"

I lost instant messaging when MS came up with an "improved" version of that.
Got new IE in the process of trying to fix that.  At that point everything
worked, though not well.  Then someone downloaded "Family Safety" and
everything went to hell.  It doesn't work but I can't get rid of it either.
And now IE windows don't want to close.  Grrrrrr.

And people wonder why I bought a Mac?  You never have to go through all
that crap ever again :)

Unfortunately, the tax programs I still use once in a blue moon won't run on
a Mac.

I imagine you have already tired to UNINSTALL "Family Safety" by going to
"CONTROL PANEL"  and then "ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS" ???

Uninstalling IE7 will return you to the previous version.

Thanks- that's what I finally did. I don't like IE7. It is not very user
friendly, IMHO.
Then there's add-ons and plug-ins, etc... to get what you had before. There
was not even
a History Button on the Tool Bar... you had to go hunt for it.  Tks- Happy
Holidays,Kim in NC
