I know that most of us here know the evils of spamers and those kind souls that want to make us rich for nada...But I have been getting alot of emails slip through my spam blockers that just want me to "Cash" money orders and checks for my fair share of cash.... And I just thought maybe I would suggest that we look out for our elderly and more naive friends and family. I got one today from Ashley Furniture...People would send me their payments in the form of cashier or money orders, I would cash them, take 10 percent and then send the payment on to Them....They even sent me a ligit website for Ashley Furniture although the email address was a yahoo one...LOL... I did send Ashely Furniture an email informing them what some nice person is trying to do for me... ARGH!!! I cannot imagine the amount of people that actually fall for this gimmick. And it just makes me so angry... They are actually kind of funny (the commercials), showing oily looking, slimey characters trying to convince people to accept the "real" check and sending the money back to them after taking out a "fair portion" for your own use... Then the voice over saying something along the lines of, "You wouldn't listen to this man in real life, that's why they use the internet..." Smokie Darling (Annie) I've been very lucky so far, or just naturally suspicious Cindy I've been getting lots of them too, on my private email and the one I use for posting. Tis the season i suppose. Interesting that our government doesnt' want to be involved in any of the various seasonal holiday events but the thieves, spammers, connivers, etc. have no problem with taking advantage of it.
