I have serious chronic back pain and arthritic pain in both knees.  I
cannot take NSAIDs any longer due to stomach pain.  Vitamin C also
bothers my stomach.  Tylenol does nothing.    When I was on Celebrex
it was quite helpful but it also bothers my stomach.

I do take Tramadol but I need some kind of anti inflammatory.  I also
take glucosamine (1500mg), MSM (250 mg) and chondroitin (not sure of
dosage).

I was wondering about other supplements that might help.

Can anyone suggest something?

Much appreciated......

Hello Jane,

Have you tried pure emu oil and emu oil capsules ?

As it is a natural anti-inflammatory, this should hopefully not bother
your stomach.

Many of our customers are using a combination of both initially, then
are dropping back to a maintenance dose of emu oil capsules.

Our customers tend to start on 6 capsules (1000mg each) a day, and
then knock out the middle 2 when they have notice relief from the
symptoms.

Try going to www.emu-shop.com

Have a read of the testimonials on the web site that you will find
very helpful.
https://www.emu-shop.com/index.php/page/shop/pages/page_id/121

Hope this helps.

If you have any more questions, let me know

Hi Jane, please ignore the spammer, we have plenty of emus here in
Australia and we also have the same rates and treatments for arthritis.

What kind of arthritis do you have? I have to take a proton pump
inhibitor for my stomach to be able to handle celebrex. Celebrex works
well for me. Are you seeing a rheumatologist or just a general practitioner?

Ari

I have OA in my knees.  The problem with my back is "soft tissue", AKA
- they have no clue.  It is not arthritis.  It was originally caused
by a PT treatment gone horribly wrong.

I already take Prilosec.  I've also taken Prevacid and a few others.
My doctor had hoped I could take the Celebrex with one of these, but
after a month or so I still ended up with stomach pain.

For anyone who hasn't seen this garbage routine before "Jane" and "Spiro"
are one and the same.

And what they are selling might more accurately be called snake oil.

Jofirey,

Please only provide helpful information on this thread.

Going around like a yahoo making false claims and accusations does not
help anyone.

For your information, Jane has been offered some advice on finding a
natural anti-inflammatory.

We are not one and the same.

And what I was referring to was Pure Emu Oil.

Ahaha another sock puppet!

f.ck off you spamming little piece of shite.

How dare you try and rip off people in pain you ropey turd?

Unlike fish oil, emu oil is pure bollocks.

Here's a hint: what you're sucking out of those emus isn't "oil", mate -
you sick sick bastard.

At our Emu Farm in Australia our emus are farmed for their oil and
meat.

In no way is the creature treated with any less care than a farmed
animal.

Emu Oil contains the essential fatty acids Omega 3 6 9 which is
derived from their fat.

And as said before, the naturally occurring anti-inflammatory
properties in emu oil will help reduce the inflammation that is
causing the aches and pains.

Sorry, Ari (spodosaurus) that you feel so bitter about all this.
It's a shame that you spend more time arguing over a misunderstanding
than to give out helpful advice to someone in need.

Good for you. Emus don't treat arthritis.

No it doesn't. You're a scummy spammer who is trying to create a market
for a dud commodity by selling snake oil to people in pain. Crawl back
under your rock with the rest of the snakes.

For your information Paul,
My name is Spiro. Not Chris. AND no! Phil's not my husband. (LOL)
Spiz is my nickname that I had for all my life.

I am part of the sales and support staff of the Emu Farm and our
eBooks site that you have mentioned.
Chris and Phil are the owners of those business mentioned.
Yes, spiro@talyala-ebooks.com is my email address. Well Done!

There is nothing to hide about myself.
My question is why was I singled out in the first place, like a witch
hunt?
I'm not sure what the protocol is here, but I offered info about emu
oil and a link to testimonials of people who have used emu oil as a
natural anti-inflammatory.

I'm not sure about this spamming and the accusations hurled my way
about this.

There was no other intention, other than to offer a point of view, and
possible answers to Jane's questions.
Which is what this forum was about. Right ?

Instead, I was sworn at, ridiculed and made a public mockery on this
thread.
You are all forgiven. No more said.

I am very sorry to all contributors to this group if I have offended
anyone unintentionally.
I would hope that no hard feelings would arise from this.

And hope you all have a great weekend.

so, is it that only you are ill-educated as to proper netequitte and are

Jane,
check into avosoy and high doses of fish oil.  Lots of info about fish
oil on the internet and in dr. theo/s books

Jane - 01 Nov 2007 22:47 GMT
OK - regarding emu oil.  I'm embarrassed to say I tried it.  I knew it
was a waste of time but I was desperate.  It did nothing but make my
wallet thinner.  Probably didn't do much for the emu either.

I should have mentioned I already take Omega 3 fish oil, 1000mg three
times a day.  Didn't do anything for the pain but I keep taking it
because I know it's good for me in other ways.

I used to eat a lot of pineapple, which contains Bromelain, supposedly
an anti inflammatory.  It may have helped a bit, not sure, but it was
very expensive since I had to eat almost 1/2 a pineapple daily.  Also
I ended up gaining weight!  I know that Bromelain comes in pill form
but from what I've read it's safety is questionable.

Hi Jane,

My doctor gave me Celebrex when I hurt my hand in Yoga (I was in
excruciating pain) and it made my so sick I thought I was going to get
sick while meeting with a client. I know someone who does ART (Active
Release Technique) massage and that got the swelling down. I know this
is not helpful for arthritis, but I do have a suggestion. As part of
my work I did a health fair where I was giving away free samples of
ALCiS pain cream. It has aspirin in it, but it does not affect your
stomache since it is a cream. The gal who worked in the cafeteria
where we were exhibiting has arthritis in her hands and back. I gave
her some samples to take home, and she said that it worked on her back
and her hands. I know this is not a natural anti-inflammatory, but I'm
telling you about it because it works without tearing up your
stomache. As far as natural anti-inflammatories, flax seed oil (liquid
in the black refrigerated bottle) is supposed to be pretty potent. I
have heard thought that for that to really be effective you need to
stop eating meat and milk because animal derived foods are
inflammatory.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Shari
