Kenalog and nausea-will it go away?

I got a shot today (in my backside) from the rheumatologist for joint
pain/inflammation. It was kenalog but I don't know the dosage. It has
been about 6 hours and I'm having severe nausea and serious vomiting
plus muscle pain and mild headache. I had one shot last year with no
problems or side effects. Is the nausea a common side effect and will
it go away? This is really awful.
Thanks for any info.

Could be that you just picked up some bug and that it isn't related to
the injection from today.

According to
http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-9275-Kenalog+Inj.aspx?drugid=9275&drugname=Kenal
og+Inj&pagenumber=4

Kenalog treats many conditions, including 'nausea and vomiting caused
by cancer drugs' so IMHO it itself shouldn't cause vomiting...

Last night I called a local pharmacist and did a google search and
both the pharmacist and google said that nausea could be a side effect
of the medication but that it shouldn't last overnight which it has.
Also stomach and muscle pain (which I have) are side effects as well.
What I don't understand is why it didn't affect me this way last year.
I posted here because I know people have a lot of experience with
different side effects. When I took prednisolone orally I completely
lost all sense of taste and smell (and 10 lbs in one week) and people
on here had experienced that too, not uncommonly. When I looked up
side effects loss of smell and taste were listed as "extremely rare."

Losing 10 lbs in one week sounds great for those of us who need to
lose weight.
Not so good on losing your taste and smell.

Have you tried using a natural anti-inflammatory like pure emu oil
instead?

Pure emu oil has naturally occurring anti-inflammatory properties
which should help in the reduction of inflammation in your joints.

Generally taking the emu oil in capsule form will be more beneficial
for you, as it will get it into your system where you cannot reach
from the outside.

You can purchase the emu oil and emu oil capsules at www.emu-shop.com
online.
While you are there, have a read of some of the testimonials.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Spiss,,,, this is not the place for you to advertise.   If you do not
stop,,, it will be throwing away your throw away account at Google.    Yes,
yes,,, I know,,, you just get another one but you are going to have to do
that.

I normally don't have the nausea and vomiting, but the muscle aches are
bad...Usually Dr will give me a shot when I am in a flare(FM,OA) and it
always makes me feel worse before I feel better...I always put it off longer
than I should as I know what is in store for me...So I try and work through
the flares without it...ARGH I hate steroids...But in the end, it does
usually knock the flare out..after I suffer for a few more days...
