jo, i'm sending the bubble wrap! and men--they think they have to be
so tough. i hope his toe heals with no problems.
take care of yourself,
diane
i was just thinking of wrapping sj in a memory foam suit and shoes, cuz
bubble wrap pops(don't ask how i know.<g>).
sj, broken rib, pulled chest, back thrown out, broken toe,
sprained/dislocated ankle . . .sigh, darlin' girlfriend. i want you to feel
better, all over, like yesterday. ((((((((((((((((((((gentle
hugs))))))))))))))))
but, please don't minimize that ankle injury. it sounds bad, especially
since you can't tell if it was sprained or was dislocated. that really
needs to be looked at, too. otherwise, it can take years to heal, if it
isn't helped to heal properly in a relatively much shorter time, and can
give you problems for years to come. you and your dh need to have at least
those injuries, his toe/your ankle, looked at. are you using crutches in
the meantime? what are you doing for it, sweetie?

Ok I can handle memory foam suit, unless it makes me hotter than I already
am. ;-)
My rib, and back are feeling better. My toe is feeling better except it is
the one that lays down on the job and it seems to be in the way more these
days. ;-) My chest and back are still doing the spasm thingy big time so no
help there yet. The ankle is doing better, I think it went back into place
so maybe it was just a pop out kind of thing.
Kate, there is not much I can do with the ankle, that leg, and foot, from
what the dr that I had at Kaiser before we lost insurance told me was that
the damage is already done and I can't do anything to repair it. It happened
mainly from when I tangled with the recycleable bin and the bin won. That dr
I saw then didn't think anything was wrong with it. Yeah right. So about a
year later I noticed, that the bottom part of my leg by the ankle sank in
and looked deformed compaired to the other one. By that time I had another
dr and asked her about it and that was what I was told after having it
xrayed and such.
When I was at the drs on Fri I didn't even mention it since we were dealing
with my fever, chills, and feeling so sick and my female issues that seem to
be a big problem right now.
I am using my cane to get around and as long as I watch how the heck I am
walking and don't keep trying to trip myself with the cane, It is doing
pretty good.
I think I used the wrong word when I said dislocated. It is kind of like my
hip, that pops out of place all the time. It does that kind of thing. I
think I was brain dead when I said possibly dislocated.
Hubbies toe is looking much better than it did. It is no longer red and
swollen, it is healing I believe. It has like caked blood on the top of it
where the cut is where the pruners stuck in it and then slashed down. So he
might be healing. I hope so far. He has an issue with fungus growth on his
feet and I say feet because it is like on top of his feet and toward ankle
areas. So I was so worried that would creep down and get into the picture
with the toe. But so far so good.
Kate, it would take a miracle for me to get him into the drs. He didn't want
to go either when he had his heart attack. He was fine to hear him. Luckily
with that issue, I called 911 and they carried him out or he wouldn't have
gone.
I did get him to agree though that if it looks like it might be getting
infected or worse he would go in since I found a dr that the appt is only
$30 for the visit. So hopefully if he needs it he will go.
With the ankle, I have had trouble with it since I did the bin thing. At
times I will be walking alone and all of a sudden I get these sharp shooting
pains in it that come and go every couple of minutes for a day or two at a
time and then it goes away till the next time it decided to act up. I had
that happening with this too at first but now I can walk on it pretty good
without too much pain so I believe it is healing too.
It could have been worse, I could have broke the darn thing. So I am lucky
and blessed.

Oh you had my heart going there for a minute. I thought you were sending me
bubble wrap and men. ;-)
His toe is holding its own so far, haven't seen it last night so tonight
might change my mine though.
