actually i think i really am, but i'm still scared to say it out loud.  i
wouldn't say it at all yesterday, until i slipped and told mike last night.
he already suspectedd as he could see the difference.  anyway, there are
still times when i do something wrong and go through the roof, but it calms
down much faster and it happens much less often.  i am able to stretch more
and am even able to bend over - briefly.  oh, and i got into a regular pair
of trousers tuesday, albeit a loose pair.

haven't decided yet whether to keep my pcp appt. tuesday.  there's still some
swelling, which i'm not supposed to have.  i've been suspecting this might
all have something to do with the lymphatic system not draining stuff as it
should.  tht's womething i really need to discuss with one of my medical
doctors rather than with the surgeon.

keeping my fingers crossed that this improves, esp. as we leave this
afternoon for a two-day convention.

Keep that appointment but enjoy the 2 day convention.  You deserve a little
bit of a rest even if (and I won't say it out loud) you haven't decided if
you are feeling better or not (which we know you probably are because we
have all been willing it.

Enjoy the couple of days away from it all Nann.

I think I am keping the appt. unless there is major improvement over
the next two days.  I'm better, but not up to being fully dressed all
day as I learned today.

Unfortuantely, the convention is church work, so we really aren't away
from it at all.  Today we had a dull speaker in a chilly room on hard
metal chairs.  somehow they always manage to have lousy seating for at
least part of convention.  I may refuse to do this in the future if
they don't start coming up with better seating!

Just my two cents, and I never made it to medical school, but I like water
treatment for dealing with that sort of swelling.  Long warm baths, or even
a jacuzzi if I can find one.  The warmth and the light pressure from the
water seem to help.

Of course, not until any incision is thoroughly healed.

Frankly, i love a whirlpool too - or, as Mike calls it, "bubbling
pond".  We can't readily access one up north though.  Down here in
Saginaw, the motel we're had has a whirlpool that we enjoyed last
night and will again tonight.  Wish we could be here longer!  LOL

Hey Nann,
That is good news.  I am still in santa cruz as I got some major cold
after spending ours in the rain chasing my cell phone (which i didn't
get back).  I  am in bed drinking herbs and trying to breath.  I will
call you as soon as i get my new phone (it was insured and they send
them out second day air). so great that you are feeling better.

M,
rest and get better.  Glad the phone was insured but what a pain.

whoa!  missy m, what kind of cell phone did you have?????  i need to replace
mine and want to avoid buying a brand that has legs and a bad case of
wanderlust, cuz i'm not up to chasing anything, and especially, in the rain!
;-)  bummer, that yours escaped from you, sweetie.  but it was just not fair
to have the ordeal worsened by catching the cold bug instead of the phone!
you should have dropped that cold immediately, as soon as you caught it, but
i bet the sneaky bug disguised itself as a cell phone and fooled you .  i've
been fooled like that and caught that kind of disguised cold bug before,
too.  colds are totally sneaky bugs!

hope you breathe easier and are well, soon, sweetie.

from you. i hope you got the new one by now and that your cold is doing
better. You take care.

ah, gee, that so sucks!  Colds are never fun and it's even worse when you
have to cancel a trip.

I agreed to do a skit with Mike as part of his sermon Sunday, which meant I
had to get up early and make services at both chuches with him.  I forgot and
drank coffee at the coffee hour and was unable to nap.  Yesterday I was
recovering from the whole weekend - "napped" for 4.5 hours!  I did have
another global leap in improvement though.  I'll see if I can handle wearing
regular clothes for long when I see the doc this afternoon.  It should be
interesting having yet another "I hope you can help" appt. with my PCP.
We've done this before though and he's pretty good at handling my mysteries.
The good par is he's the most understanding of my docs about feeling like I'm
about to completely lose it, which is where I've been a lot lately.  Some
days coping just does seem overrated.

I sure hope so Nann,

I know how it is, you feel like you jinx yourself if you say you are doing
better, I know i do. I say I am doing better and someone likes to make a
liar out of me. LOL ;-)

I am glad you were able to bend and put on a pair of trousers.

I hope you get this all figured out and soon so you can get better.

I am keeping my fingers crossed with you. So hurry up and get better because
that hurts me to keep them crossed. :-)

Hope all goes well at the convention.
