I think Donna G could use some thoughts and prayers about now - sense of
humour etc is wearing thin. She seems to have had constant infections and
was again in the hospital (although out not). Her last email was down and
she was worried she was always whining and complaining (which we know isn't
true). The doctors are suggesting IVIG treatments which will hold up her
next rituxan treatment which she is overdue for but the IVIG is more
important right now.
So ramp up the prayers and think of her please. I know how tough it can be
when you have a big decision to make. In the middle of all this discussion
said this to me in her email
"Anyways, sorry to be so whiny, but have just been so overwhelmed that I
haven't even had the energy to check into ASA as of late and offer support
to the others. Hopefully they all know that even when I'm not there
physically, I am always there mentally and spiritually praying for them all
and wishing them all the very best!!! Guess I'm just being a little selfish
and self-centered as of late!"
Don't think that description describes Donna - but I do know how overwhelmed
a person can get.
So send out the ASA good thoughts - I think she needs a group hug!

(((((((((((((((((((((DonnaG))))))))))))))))))))))) I am doubling and
redoubling my prayers for you.
We ALL need to focus on ourselves at times and those of us with chronic
illnesses should understand this more than anyone else, even though we're
often trying to distract ourselves by focussing on others. This is a time
when Donna needs to concentrate on taking the best possible care of herself
so she might have better days ahead.
Donna, you have all the love in the world behind you. May your doctors and
you work out the best way to help you feel better.

How are you doing Johnie? Still seeing some improvement I hope and not
getting too down. I still have an envelope sitting here for you - will get
it off this week. No chance while traveling that weekend with 9 women on a
shopping spree - why did I ever think I could. Honestly - I am a bird brain.
Best thoughts,

In the spirit of the groups energy making a difference in our lives
'IT' has certainly made a difference in mine. I am continuing to
improve slowly but steady and can go a bit longer each day on my feet.
Another month might get me back to as normal as I can hope for.>g< So
against the odds I am healing and I have to attribute a significant
part of that to the amazingly positive energy this group is capable
of.
I will be focusing my attention towards donna hoping she can rid
herself of those lousy infections.
For me it really is a matter of faith. It is a very personal matter.
I have faith in the power of human kindness.
Hope your well,
johnie

Joining in the group hug. With a reminder to DonnaG. It might be more
blessed to give, but for it to work somebody's got to receive. They have
the harder job is all.
Most group hugs need a center, but everyone gets a hug in the process.
Sometimes what you can give, the the chance for someone else to give.
Sometimes its your turn to help someone else learn how to pray.
Just a note for those who can find it difficult to pray. Its a lot like
talking to yourself, either just in your mind or even our loud. Yes it is
that easy. If you aren't up for something long and special, two word
prayers can get you started. "Thank you" "help me" "help them" "show me"
"protect us" "thank you"
Conversations are fine too. they can help us to focus the same way a
conversation with a friend does. But the higher power you believe in or
even just want to believe in, knows what is in you heart and knows what you
need.

be very personal and just remember that you are speaking to God about a
friend in need who has been through a great deal.

Thanks for letting us know, Kelly.
Donna - a few hours ago, I had the funniest scolding to 'issue' to you on
why you shouldn't hide when things are going lousy. Something on the order
of the difference between whining and sharing. But the fog has settled in
on the brain and I can't remember much of it at all. Luck you.
So listen to your Jewish mother - Stop it!!!!! Playing the martyr is my job,
part of the ethnic description. Stop trying to steal my gig.
And this keeping it to yourself thing - cut it out!!!!!!! We are here to
listen. Let it all hang out!!! Remember - that's why we went through the
1970's!!!!! Didn't you learn anything in those (puff, puff) encounter
groups?
OK - silliness aside-
Honey, we are here whenever you feel up to the task of actually putting
thoughts on paper - umm, electrons. Just know we don't consider what you
have to say as "too much." It is what it is. You are our guide in what some
of us have to go through on this road; your lane seems to have more hazards
than some of us have. But we still have lots to offer.
And for the biblical reference (we just finished the holiday which
celebrates the annual cycle of reading the torah - the first five books) -
one should not yoke disparate animals together because it burdens the
stronger and can harm the weaker. So those of us in the same boat, we are
the similar beasts of burden who can help you carry this load. It always
easier when the burden is shared. So when you have the energy to actually
get back on the road, we'll be here to be 'teamed up' with you.
Sending love, gentle hugs, and virtual chocolate.

Thanks for letting us know this, Kelly.
Donna G, I am thinking about you and praying for you that you have a
speedy recovery and come out of this as good as new. You have been
through far too much lately. Far, far, too much.
It is OK to share the burden. I think any one of us would take this
away from you if it were in our power to do so.
Rest easy, and come back to us when you can.
