Hi Jo!

Just been cruisin' along these days.

Arthur is about the same as usual 'cept for last weekend when I needed to
play 36 holes of golf in one day.
Bad idea. Don't think I'll try that again. :-)

Corn is coming down all around us. Bumper crop. Talking 200 bushel/acre and
it's dry enough to take
straight to the ethanol plants. Farmers will do very well this year. As much
as it signifies the end of summer,
I'll be glad to see it go so I can get off my allergy meds again.

Work has been busy and the guy I worked with retired yesterday. I have to
head a search committee to find
his replacement, but the new guy will be my asst. from now on.

Taking a week long class the middle of Oct. for Administrator training for
our local Moose Lodge. Figure it will
be a good part-time job after I retire. They don't like the guy they have
now. They want to give me control
of the money, books, and the bar!!!  Are they nuts or what! lol

Mike is doing very well in school 'cept Geometry. He just isn't a math
wizard, but has to find a way through.
It's a core class. They have  a program in culinary arts at the local
community college that Mike goes to
in the mornings and gets both high school and college credit. The thrill of
driving for him has worn off with
the realization of the cost of gas! yeah.

Poor Bears, GO Green Bay!

Read everyday here so I'm not totally lost.

Will that mean free drinks for all the members of ASA? Book me a
bar stool. :-)

Over all it sounds pretty good. Take care and don't overdo though. Hope Mike
can figure out the Math, I never was good with it either. Regular math yeah
I got straight A's but never could get Alg or Geo.

Glad to hear how you are doing. You need to post a word or two at least once
a month so we know you are doing ok and still with us. ;-)

Either they are or you are.  Sounds more like a full time job with part time
pay.

Just be careful how much they try to expand the job once they have you
online, and then enjoy your retirement.

Perhaps they figure that with Arthur and your meds, you won't drink them dry
helping yourself.  <g>

That makes it all worth while.   Fats played in a place outside Longview,
Tex and I think he owned the place and the rest of them could be seen at
different times in a place called the Rio Palm Isle also outside of Longivew
where
Elvis could be found every now and then.   I did not know how big these
people were in the showbiz world.  I think the only time I saw JerryLee
L,,,,was at the Louisiana  Hay Ride in Shreveport..   I feel like all that
was 300 years ago.  LOL

Dang, you just reminded me of a local DJ in the mid-50's who read a script
before playing most records.

One morning he recited "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jumped over the
candlestick."

Then he lowered the needle to THAT song.

... "One of my pet hates is apathy."                             "I don't
care."
