Went to see my Dr on Tuesday to get my BP measured again. This time it
had come down to within the "satisfactory" range so she said she'd write
to the hospital and tell them they could go ahead.

Had a phone call from the admissions department the same afternoon to
ask if I'd seen my Dr yet. I told her the results and she said "You
should get a date soon."

Yesterday I came home to a message that the hospital had rung. I called
back and they asked me if I could come in next Wednesday. I said "yes"
and they told me to turn up at 7:30 in the morning! I'd be done the same
day.

Seems like someone must have dropped out and I got fitted in. Telling
them I was available at short notice was a good idea, then.

Cheers for now,

Dave

Great news Dave!  Now don't you go raising the BP by worrying too much.

I've had a few days off t'internet this week - my mum's been visiting
(taking care of me whether I wanted it or not!).  I had my 27 clips removed
on Monday and it is a lot less itchy.  Like last time, the wound healed over
very nicely and quickly indeed.  It is still a bit sore and itchy, but I am
rubbing vitamin E oil into the scar, and aloe vera gel when it itches.

Sleeping at night is still a nightmare, but I can doze in the day to make up
for it thankfully.  My next target is for me to have a really excellent
night's sleep, but I fear its a couple of weeks away yet.  I have to remind
myself that it has only been two and a half weeks since my knee replacement,
and tell myself to take it easy a little!

I will be thinking of you next Wednesday.

i came across some stuff based on tea-tree oil ... a bit like a super-
runny cream.  it's my current magic treatment for skin irritations --
soothing in a way that lets the natural processes start working.

hope you get on better, soon.
