fiesty old dear, isn't she.<smile>  long road for her, so far.  hopefully,
from here on out, she's on the fast track to recovery.

We visited with her and her husband Ed in her Detroit hospiatl yeasterday.
Ed says this all satrted back on 2/15 and Mary has been in the hospital or
rehar 80% of the time since then.  But...... her new stump is healing quite
nicely and they hope to move to rehab in a couple of days.  She still ahs a
ways to go, but maybe the light at the end of the tunnel really isn't
another
train this time.

She has a remarkable spirit - after all she's been though in the past 7 1/2
months, she just wants to get this done with so she can get on with living.
She wasn't complaining at all, just disgusted with her "stupid leg" for
causing all this trouble.  I hope I'm that strong at 79.
