Hi all,

In doing some research for my RA blog I came across this google group
- it looks fairly active and contains a lot of good information.  I'm
happy to have found it!

I was diagnosed with severe RA over 12 yrs ago and have made it a
point to find out as much as I can about this dreaded disease and what
my options are, treatments, etc.

I've settled on a routine of small doses of prednisone and ibuprofen
combined with a strict diet to help manage my symptoms.  In my case,
diet can really aggravate my symptoms.  Things like paprika, dill,
basil, MSG, processed sugar, etc all can increase my joint pain,
usually within a matter of 30 to 45 minutes...so I avoid those when I
can.

I've tried to put together a blog that addresses different aspects of
RA, pain management, references, helpful products for the RA sufferer
and how this disease has affected me personally.  It's fairly new and
I plan to add much more in the way of current treatments and news as
my fingers permit me to type.

Feel free to visit.  http://arthritis-ra.blogspot.com

Oh and BTW about the morning pain and stiffness...when I get up, the
first thing I do is drink a cup or two of good strong fresh coffee.
Caffeine is a great pain reliever if your body can handle it.

Best Wishes,
Bob

Sorry, but we already have our own website and don't care to visit those
trying to eke out data for yet another survey or research.

Here's a quick hint for you 'chief', I am not here to "eke" out
anything.  I am here to learn and to share.

I have suffered with RA for many years and have learned a lot about
this monster.  I am not some floosy doing a survey.

If you have your "own website" that addresses ALL aspects of RA, then
thats cool.   Most websites I have found focus on one thing,
conventional medicine... and to those sites,  all else is simply snake
oil.

My blog tells it like it is...like it or not.

Good ruck, if you follow THAT particular path.

Regards,

Bob
