Donna G. - 28 Jul 2007 23:57 GMT We are all blessed in so many different ways, both large and small. Often, though, we focus on the rough patches in our lives instead of the blessings. The blessings really are there EVERY day, if we so choose to see them.
So, today is a good day to stop and think about those blessings!
Name one blessing in your life today! . . .

Squirrely - 29 Jul 2007 06:15 GMT Leslie, you took the words right off my key board. ;-) I was going to say the same thing.
So I guess I have to say that I came thru another day, that is a blessing.

That is why every morning when I step out onto the patio for my first smoke of the day, I look at the soft clouds in the blue sky, gaze down on the neighbor's beautiful, blooming roses, take a deep breath and thank God for giving me one more day to obserse the many wonders of His creation.

Well said. This morning I was sitting on my balcony watching the sun rise and thinking how nice it would be to stay there and watch my hibiscus' newest bud unfold. It really is the simple things that make the day beautiful.

Diane - 29 Jul 2007 15:33 GMT so true, cinnamin. I'm grateful for so many things and so many people, including those in this group who are always there for me and others. but right at this moment, i feel blessed by the ruby-throated hummingbird right outside my kitchen window.

Kelly, no need to just pick one, what I was hoping to do is to stimulate some who think that there is absolutely nothing good in their lives. Everyone, even on a bad day, can usually come up with at least ONE good thing/blessing in their life. You're welcome to list a hundred things if you wish.
God bless you all, you each are part of my every day blessings.
I so appreciate every person that walks through my life, whether they be someone I get along with or not, for every person teaches me some small lesson in this thing we like to call life!!! . . .

And each of us teaches someone else Donna - that is the way it goesThat support keeps us going!
I talked to a friend who just failed orencia and is going on rituxan now. Was able to pass on my experiences and yours and give her a little bit of help and encouragement. That is the way it goes isn't it.
Wish I could take a pictures outside my window right now. I must have 20 - 30 birds in the bushes beside me outside the window eating the seed pods off the trees. Some have yellow underneath, some a bright red head, some are sparrows, some I have never seen before. It is like a feeding frenzy. Quite something to see. Unfortunately a pictures would not show them they are so camoflaged. An incredible sight.
Out the other window the ferry is almost ready to leave again. They were all cancelled yesterday afternoon until late when a credible bomb threat was called in. 1100 cars in the terminal all had to be search by bomb sniffing dogs and all 8 ferries in the fleet had to be searched as well. 20 sailings were cancelled. What a royal pain but necessary. $50,000 reward to the capture and conviction of the caller. In the meantime many holidays interupted or ruined. The last ferry came in to the terminal around 12:30 I think - seemed the noise went on forever last night. Today they seem to be running but a little off schedule.
Off to a nap. Did a little sewing this morning - my whole body is in a major flare though so it is a chore. Is it a major flare when you were already in a major flare and it gets worse???? Never know the right terminalogy. Off to the rd on Thursday though so maybe we can attempt to hike up the mtx once again.
Take care everyone, Kelly

it sounds like finches to me. Glad you get to enjoy the birds.
I am sorry you are in a major flare I hope it doesn't last long. Let us know what the rd says on Thurs.

Nothing more uplifting and healing then a good laugh or two.
Sometimes that humor comes in the form of things that weren't even meant to be funny!!! . . .

I used to work with a pistol of a woman who gave me a line I use to this day. When folks would ask the basic, "How ya doing?", Vernell would reply, "Well, I woke up this morning so I'm off to a good start!" That line always reminds me to be grateful for just being here.

Kelly - 29 Jul 2007 05:12 GMT One blessing - okay.
My support group. This is a great big group of people but tada.....like an academy awards acceptance speech.
All of you My doctors both online (such as Dr. Doc who helped so much when I had my neurological problem), my incredible RD, my gp (general practitioner), physio, occupational therapist etc. My quilting friends and my community friends My family - mom, sister, brother, nephews and other relatives that regularaly ask about me My outside family friends that are not in my community but in my life - this includes friends of my mom who regularly write or phone. And my two boys and their wife/significant other And probably the most important person is my husband - who said today that he thought he was doing a better job of the laundry than I had been - it smelled cleaner. Bless him as he now can have the job forever!.
Is that one blessing - does that count Donna??
thanks for asking this. Today has been a day of incredibly sore joints and I have been frustrated. Obviously done too much or something so needed to be reminded that things aren't always sour!
