Hi!

Could use a little prayer help, guys. Just spoke to my Mom. She's been in
the hospital now for a bit more than a week, in ICU since Friday night. She
had a minor heart attack. While they say there is no major damage, her heart
still won't stay in a steady rhythm.

Now she says the Palliative care team wants to discuss 'her imminent demise'
(her words). My Mom is ticked off that they don't want to discuss care for
her when she goes home. Not sure just how deep her denial is. It is her
biggest coping mechanism. It's been more than seven months since they last
predicted she wasn't walking out of the nursing home. But this time with the
cardiac involvement, well, that's really different. I'm really not sure she
is leaving the hospital. Will talk with my sister when she gets home later
about what she thinks they really mean. Do they mean any time now, or within
a few weeks or what? The meeting is set for Wednesday as I get into Denver
midnight their time tomorrow.

As trivial as it sounds, I really would like my sister Cheryl to have this
vacation before anything permanent happens. She needs to recharge before
dealing with the big one. Sigh!

Yes - I'm quietly freaking out. Please include my mom, Dorothy in your
prayers.

Done.

It sounds like everyone involved needs just a little more time.  Prayers
that is possible.  And peace with the outcome such as it may be.

caring of you, adelle, to want that for your sister.  this is not an easy
time, for any of you.  my warmest thoughts are with you.  my hopes are for a
gentle and loving outcome.

Sure will Adelle and prayers for you and your sister to rest find strength
to deal with what is taking place.   This is a very stressful time and I
pray that all can find a peaceful time.  For Cherl,,, may you and her be a
team to find the right answers and actions.   Sometimes things end up just
being Gods will and no matter what you and your sister do or say things take
place.
Please rest, build your strength.

It's so difficult for you not being there.  You will feel more content
when you get there for the meeting and find out the whole story.
Prayers for your Mom and sister and yourself to help you get through
this.

Adelle, not only is your Mom in my prayers but also you and your sister, and
all the family involved.  It's hard on everybody.  Just pray things will go
well for all of you.

Hi Adelle,
you and your mom are in my prayers big time and have been for quite awhile.
Too many things happening.  You are free to freak out and not so quietly
here.  that is what we are here for - support and listening.

I agree that the vacation should continue - hopefully nothing will happen in
the very short term.  Will be thinking of you.
