I'm in South Jersey ( Ocean County) and had a couple of power outages and
lost phone and internet (both Comcast Cable, though the TV service stayed on
LOL) due to a humdinger of a T-storm. The phone and internet were down for
about six hours.

We had over two inches of rain in an hour! The lightening hit real close to
my apartment comlex and scared the daylights out of me. Also I felt pressure
in my ears which makes me think there might have been a tornado nearby.
Tornadoes did hit Long Island but that's about 50 miles north of me so I
don't those were the culprits down here.

I kept my flashlight and cell phone handy. I need to be getting a battery or
crank powered radio.I have A and AA batteries coming out my ears so of
course I'll probably get a radio that takes 9 volt batteries. LOL

Traffic lights in the town just north of me were out for a spell.

We're ok, though, although there's another T-storm predicted for today or
tonight. :( Well, it's that time of year.
