Hi Donna,
Spoke too soon yesterday about the spasms.  I was sick last night with
diarhea and stomache cramps and the spasms in my legs were awful all night
and today.  Typical for me now if something is wrong.  Today the heat is up
and the legs and feet are swollen so will try the doctor tomorrow.  Feeling
lousy in general.

SJ - it is heat as in a heating pad or covers on a bed that tends to  start
these spasms for me.  The weather heat does a bit too if I don't keep cool
but they even happen in the winter if I overdress or have a too hot bath.
Just that the nervous system has not adjusted or maybe it never will or
needs to be retrained. The big signal for me is infections - sometimes as
small as an ingrown toenail (as it was last night as well.)

Anyhow the worst is over but pissed me off because I was telling you
yesterday that the meds almost always controlled it.  Spoke too soon - the
word is almost always.

Hope you are coping in the heat.  We are just starting to get it but luckily
there is a breeze as we are near the water.  Must take a picture from my
computer window - the view of the sailboats out tonight is wonderful.

I would like to see that photo too, Be careful tomorrow Kelly. The
forecast is for much hotter than today!! We are supposed to have temps
as high as 40 c here in the Thompson-Okanagan.

Oh Kelly,

don't you hate that, say something positive about one of the issues and
someone likes to make a liar out of us and make it happen. That is why I
don't say too much about oh I am doing so much better because as soon as I
say that, it slaps me again. So I keep quiet about it. ;-)

So when I am quiet about something, you might be able to think that it might
mean I am doing better and just don't want to jinx myself. ;-)

I sure hope the spasms and cramps stop. Also I hope the d and the vomiting
stop too. You poor girl. I feel for you.

I hope you get a break soon.

Yeah I would love to see a picture.

They have stopped today and I am feeling better - thanks SJ.  Will get a
picture one day this week - have some on the camera - just need to download
them.

Hope you are doing okay.  This heat is lovely after all our cold but it is
hot fast which is tough to get used to.

glad you are feeling better today Kelly.

yeah the temp jumps are hard to adjust too. But I am glad it didn't stay hot
and keep going with the heat wave we were having.

It was 88 yesterday and muggy and now it is going back  up again. I hate
this heat and summer. ;-)

SJ,

My muscle spasms are mainly caused by issues still from the stroke I had
at the end of december, but for some reason the heat from showers, the
weather, etc, seem to make things much worse with the spasms!!!
Yowieeeee those things can curl  your hair, literally.   Kelly has been
so amazing at helping me learn to better deal with it all.  Such a
blessing!

Kelly, so glad to hear you are doing a bit better!   I totally
understand those times when even the meds don't seem to help much!
Uggggh!!!

Hugs to you both and may your days be better and better!!!

Donna

Donna,

so sorry to hear this still going on. I know mine are going crazy too. Shoot
today I tried to sweep the family room ceiling and just from that, my hands
will not stop cramping and spasming. Can't even hold a fork now. ;-(

Mine I think is coming from the dehydration issues but I don't know what
else to do. I am drinking 3 Liters of pedialyte a day and about 1/2 gal of
water and still I am dehydrated.

I hope your days are better and better too. You deserve them. ;-)
