Hi all,

Just another quick update regarding my progress (or more accurately,
my non-progress) with my partial knee replacement.

It looks like my doc is going to have to do a manipulation.  My
physical therapists have tried to break things loose but no luck.
They've been terrific, through the entire torture process <g>, but
just can't get me past a 65 degree bend.

I'll see my surgeon on Thursday and will most likely be scheduled
for the procedure the following week.  Yee Haw!!

Have any of you had this done?  Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
I am sorry to hear about your need for a manipulation. I can not offer
any advice there, as I have not had that procedure myself. Please let
us know how it goes.

Cheryl, I don't know anything about this kind of treatment for knees.  I
did have a frozen shoulder manipulated free under anesthesia a few years
ago and it sounds like the same kind of procedure.  It was not getting
better with PT so surgeon recommended this and it did work.

Yes, I believe it is the same thing Ann.  I will be put out using a
general anesthesia, and the surgeon will slowly work my leg back and
forth, hopefully to release the scar tissue.  Not pleasant I'm sure
but necessary.  While I wish it weren't needed I actually can't wait
to have it done so that I can move forward...

Cheryl
