My trip to France, Italy, Monaco was fabulous. I had a great time and
loved it. We walked ALOT, one day 7.5 miles. I managed to do it by
taking extra pred and pain pills on the walking days. I'm tired, jet
lagged and smiling ear to ear. Kate

I'm so glad to hear you had a great time, Kate! I'm just back from Germany,
myself - good trip, but some difficulties that I never could have survived
without medrol. Now I'm trying to get past the jet lag, the 2 weeks of
allergy flares and get off the medrol. I don't feel as steamrollered as
yesterday, but have a ways to go still! What we do to see the world! LOL

Nann, I was thinking of you last night and hoped you would soon report on
your trip. Sorry about the difficulties but hope the trip was worth it!

Thanks, Gwen. I plan to report more when I'm a bit more recovered! The
jetlag is improving, my right hand and wrist are complaining and it's been
really necessary to do some housework!
If anyone else is planning to fly in the near future, avoid Heathrow airport
in London if at all possible. We had horrible experiences with security
there. They were so backed up we missed our connection and ended up being
routed BACK through security again just to reschedule our flight! Begging
and pleading by Mike and I with gestures towards my barely walking mother got
us some considerations when we changed gates. Technically, they should have
sent us through security AGAIN just to change gates! It was a nightmare.
Happier stuff later, just don't plan a trip through Heathrow until they get
the new terminal open (which I *hear* is supposed to help the situation).

It sounds glorious. The last time I was in Europe, it was Spain, Germany,
and Ireland. Oh, I would love to go back to Ireland when I have more time.
Did get to kiss the Blarney Stone, though. (My family can't understand why
I would need to kiss the Stone - they think I have enough Blarney to spare!
LOL )
