Well the Iv today went picture perfect.  One small (3/10 pain level) episode
in the last 3 minutes of the drip and that was it.  So we know my protocol
now. Spread each infusion over 2 days at no more than 37.5 ml per hour, 45
mg of prednisone the night before the first IV, 100 of solu medrol in the
morning both days of the sessions, still 2 weeks between.  Next one will not
be before 6 months but we check on progress at 4 months.  At 4 months they
assess whether I have progressed at all and when we will repeat.

So to say they go up to 400 ml an hour with most patients - well obviously I
am different.

Anyhow went well.  I am exhausted though - long day in a recliner.  Going
off to have a nap.

Thanks for all the good wishes.  I could definitely feel them and frankly I
was just a tad scared after the first reaction.

Wooooohooooooo!!!   Glad you are through the first round of infusions
and that you did ok.

Know that there still may be a few side effects that pop up, but
hopefully not too bad.

Now, keeping everything crossed and praying hard that this stuff works
well for you and causes NO problems!!!

4 months may be a bit soon to evaluate if it is doing anything for you.
At my 4 month mark, I didn't see any improvements yet.  It really took a
good 6-7 months before I even noticed a slight improvement, so don't get
discouraged if at 4 months there isn't any signs of anything happening
yet.   My RD said at the 4 month mark, well, it is probably too soon to
know anything just yet, and he was right.  Just giving you a heads up on
that.

Rest well tonight dear friend and take it easy so you can get through
the move you have coming up next monday.

Hang in there and know the prayers continue!!!

Hugs,

Donna

I am glad this is over for you for awhile Kelly. I am glad you didn't have
such a severe reaction this time. You rest and take care.

So glad everything went better this time. Everyone has their own quirks and
tolerances. Good thing they figured out what you needed.

Enjoy some well deserved rest.

well, I surely wish this could have been worked out with less stress on you,
but thank goodness you can still do the full rituxan course.  may you be one
of those who has a fairly rapid and quite positive respose to it.

Thanks Johnie,
I am hoping this is my miracle - really need it right now.  Still getting
over the crap but last time it took 2 weeks so lots of time to go.

We officially have the moving trucks coming Monday so this is the weekend of
final packing, taking over breakables etc.  The construction on the new
house has started so will be in there by the end of October thank goodness.
The one we are moving into this week is for 5 months.  The move won't be as
bad next time.

So glad to hear your house is in occupancy stage!  Well done!  You must be
so pleased especially since it is your construction!

Take care,  glad to see the postings.  Hope Lucy is not too exchausted.
