Hi Gang,

Made it through my surgery yesterday and can already hear a whole lot
more that I was hearing.

Am still having a pretty rough day today though.   My throat is so
incredibly sore and so swollen that I can hardly swollow.  Ugggh.
Probably from the tube down the throat for the general is what I am
guessing.  Also coughing and wheezing some, so sides, chest, and back
are very very sore from all the coughing.   In general, feels like I got
run over by a truck---lol!

Oh well, made it through the surgery and that was my biggest fear, so
better quit complaining.  Heading back to bed and praying that all of
this other stuff eases so that I can stay home and not end up back at
the hospital.

Prayers and loving thoughts to all of you!!!

Hugs,

Donna G.

glad you made it through okay, donna, and that you can see an
improvement already.
i know that "sore throat" you're talking about. it's not like a real
sore throat, more muscular, isn't it? and the usual sore throat
remedies can't touch it. it should ease up in a day or so, but i know
how miserable it is each time you have to swallow. ugh.

hope you have some good pain meds you can take.

take care,

diane

Good to hear you are almost okay Donna. I know that sore throat well.
Feels like somebody sandpapered your throat and even hurts to turn your
head.  Give it a few days and it should be gone.  Sipping tea helps a
little.  Rest and get well.

Well........we're gonna have to be careful about talking behind your back
from now on.   <g>

That's a different procedure than Jo Firey had, isn't it?

Glad to hear that you are hearing better and that the surgery went well.
The throat thing is to be expected. Everyone I know who has had surgery
lately has had the same problem. Get some nice throat drops and eat ice
 cream :)

Feel better soon!
Hugs,
Carole

I have been checking the emails off and on all day.  Thanks for letting us
know Donna - just rest and rest and drink fluids in between.  So glad
everything went well and you are home quickly!  Guess those candles do work.

Sending healing thoughts.

Donna,

I sure hope this works for you. It sounds like you might have that nasty
virus that is going around. It comes with sore throat,
I had coughing and wheezing with it too. I know it could be from your
surgery too so this will be hard for you to tell really. but if you keep
having problems contact your dr.

I am glad to hear that you are hearing better.

Donna,

I'm glad you made it through w/o any complications.  I hate the sore
throat that comes with surgery.  I will do anything to avoid having to
be intibated.  I hope this takes care of those nasty infections that
wont go away.  Rest and take care now.

Sorry you are/were feeling like you'd been run over by a truck...  but
at least now you'll be able to hear it coming!?!  ;)   Hope you are
already feeling a whole lot better.  (Stop that coughing!)
