As some of you know I've been referred to an Orthopaedic specialist to
discuss the possibility of an operation/replacement on my knee. (Severe
OA). My doctor told me it would take 3 months to get the appointment.
That was on 30th March.
A couple of weeks ago I got a letter from the hospital. "This is my
appointment" I thought. Well, not exactly. It asked me to phone the
hospital for an appointment.
I did. The girl on the other end of the phone was apologetic, but said
they didn't have a clinic I could attend!! They would phone me when they
had. I didn't hold my breath.
Yesterday (Tuesday) I got a phone call from the hospital. They offered
me an appointment NEXT TUESDAY (22nd June). I grabbed at it.
Now to see what the specialist has to say.
Cheers for now,
Dave

In view of what you have said about having no clinics do not be to
surprised if it is a ENT specialist you see that is if your hospital
is anything like ours bloody useless !!!!!! .
