ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we call

He's doing fine and yes I am learning a LOT! First of all, I adopted a
bird in the spring so you get to learn LOTS. Like they are totally
hormonal and they molt. I have little feathers everywhere, LOL!! Of
course, since I'm a bird mommy for the first time, they are all saved in
an envelope :) I'm going to make a dreamcatcher using the bigger ones.

Yes, we are having fun. I bought him a little birdie gym today so I have
to put that together tomorrow so that he will be able to sit on my desk
with me and he'll have things to play with :)

There are some new photos on Dundee's webpage: http://carmay.com/Dundee

He's a little sweetheart, and yes, I'm in love :)))))  I'm also a lot
less lonely now :)

Carole,

Love all of the pictures.  Dundee certainly is a beautiful little guy.
Especially love the pictures from week 2 as he looks like he's being
photographed while he is in the spotlight!  LOL....too cute!

So glad he is bringing you so much joy and companionship too.

You'll have to post a pic of the dream catcher after you make it.  I bet
it will be beautiful!!!

Thanks for sharing your little feathered friend with us!!!

Hugs,

HI Donna,

Thanks for asking :)  New mommies just love to brag and show off photos,
LOL :)))

I like a lot of his photos. The close up one from week 3 I've decided is
his yearbook photo, LOL!

I was in the Goodwill store the other day and they had this photo frame
that said "I love Mommy" across the top, so I bought it and put his
photo in it :) It looks so cute :))

He has brought me more joy than I ever imagined, not to mention that he
makes me laugh all the time with his antics.

Hugs,
Carole :)

Carole, enjoyed the pictures.  Do you have any trouble getting Dundee back
in the cage when you want him to go there?

Not too often. It always seems like the the times I have to go out that
he doesn't want to go back in, LOL!  Most of the time he tells me when
he wants to go back in to get a drink or get something to eat.

I just got him a play gym yesterday, so he'll have more to do outside of
his cage. I think sometimes he just gets bored sitting on top of the
cage and his toys are inside. So my card table is becoming his
playground, LOL!!  My friend is also building him a thing that I can
hang toys from outside his cage. He loves ones with bells on the end :))

He looks very happy & healthy, Carole.  I'm glad you're having such a
good time with him.  My birdie babies are the joy of my life (even
though I have little orange feathers from Titan all over the house!).
Titan likes toys with bells on the ends, too.  Sometimes I lay some of
the toys on top of the cage so Titan & Sprite can play with them, even
though they are outside the cage.

I have lots of feathers too. Poor Dundee was having a bad day today with
the molting. He took a lot of naps. When he's like that, I know he's not
feeling well. My online fellow tiel mommys told me that when they molt,
it tires them. So I just let him be today. I've hung a couple of his
toys on top of the cage so he can play. The other day I gave him a
straw. He had a blast with it :)))

of fun :))

Go for it! I never knew how much joy a bird could bring into my life.
You could offer me the winning lottery ticket and I wouldn't part with
Dundee. I am so happy now :)))

heehee, we'd have the same issue with our cat!  He's been going nuts watching
the robins outside.  We do take him out some, but only on a leash or rope so
he can't quite get the birds.  He still loves to run after them until he
reaches the end of the ropre (literally).

The funny thing is that the place where I adopted Dundee is a bird
rescue and sanctuary. The day I was there, she had over 370 birds, and
they also have 3 cats. I guess the cats have been trained to leave the
birds alone :)

I've never read her books. When I go to the library I'll have to see if
they have that one :) Thanks!
