Hi Melinda,

Have sent address via email.

Think I should introduce myself.

I lurk because I'm too shy to post.

Bit about me?

I'm 63, female,  living in the UK.   I'm separated (hubby couldn't cope with
my illnesses)   I suffer from Asthma, Menieres Disease, and was diagnosed
with RA this January.

Apart from inhalers for asthma, medication for the menieres,  I'm taking MTX
(15mg once a week) and Folic Acid. (5mg once a week) I go to a  Medical Day
Hospital every fortnight for blood tests etc,  I've had two prednisone
injections of 120mg since being diagnosed with RA, my Rheumatologist also
recommended I take Co- Codamol for the pain.

I'm glad I found ASA,  ASA is such a caring group. I  have gleaned lots of
info from you all. So many thanks for that.

My heart and prayers go out to all that are going through such trying times
of late.

Sandy, once you've stuck your head out of the bushes, you're just not
allowed to hide any longer!  So glad you posted, but come back and share
with us.  We're a pretty nice group of people and some are very knowledgable
(I'm really not one of those).  But we would really be glad to welcome you
all the time.
Gwen

Wow - good work M!  You got another lurker out from behind the bushes.  Come
and join us in the hot tub more often Sandy.  Welcome!

We are a caring group. Like any family we have our squabbles, our
disagreements and our black sheep.  We also have the odd **** laden cousin
who pops in to give us extra medical advice that none of us really need.
(some of the advice is a little dangerous if taken in the wrong way.)  In
general though this really is a support group.

So thanks for introducing yourself.  I am in Canada, 49 years old going onto
102 in joint years, have RA, 2 children, a husband who really should have
left me with all the problems this disease has caused but hasn't thank
goodness.  I am waiting for another treatment to begin but must admit it is
taking way too long!  Must start nagging them again next week.

Take care and welcome
Kelly in BC, Canada

Well, you told her about numbnutz.

But you failed to warn her about the chocolate thieves.

And the chain gang cleaning the sandbox.

... Take a chance on living life to the fullest before leaving this Earth!

Clearly, I have been neglecting my duties as ASA sandbox gardener - I
will trim the bushes right away & see how many other lurkers there are
hiding in there!

Welcome, Sandy! Glad you decided to post.  We are always here for you
if you need us.

LOLOL,,, All those people playing in the sand every now and then.  It is the
people that let their cats play in there while they mooch a free drink at
the bar and shoot the breeze and no one cleaning up the mess.  It is a real
blessing for Kelly to solve the problem.  I think the reason her garden
always does better than anyone else is the fertilizer she uses and she gets
that for freeeee.

Welcome Sandy!!!   So glad you decided to unlurk and jump in.   As
everyone has already said, we are a loving family.  Occassionally we
have our little disagreements, but we always make up and continue to
support one another.  We have times where we pull back and don't post as
often, but then when we reappear, it always as if we  never left.   It
truly is an amazing family/group.   Hope you jump in more often and
participate in the love and sharing!!!

BTW, I am the keeper of all the dark chocolate, spice drops, spice jelly
beans, and good-n-plenty's, so hand over any of those items and I
promise to keep them nice and safe!!!   <beg>

Hugs,

Donna G.

Hi Sandy,
let me be the first to say welcome to ASA.  I am looking for the link
to the UK group in the archives.  Will post it as soon as I get
there.  It is a great group but we would love it if you could stick
around here as well.

Uhuh Sandy, you can't go back into hiding. You are now part of the family.
You have to stay around and put in some posts every once in awhile now. ;-)

I am sorry that your hubby coulden't cope with your illnesses. that is sad.

I feel for you, you have alot going on. You hang in there and stay around
ok.

We are glad you found us too. It is a nice, caring, supportive group. We
love to meet new people, but sorry for the reason we have to meet new
people.

I am glad you got lots of info from the group. That is what we are here for,
to help others who are struggling down this path too.

Really you don't have to go back to lurking. We don't bite, well much
anyways. We might miss when we are trying to taste your chocolate and you
have your head turned. But other than that we really don't bite. ;-)

Glad to see you hear and a big ole, ASA welcome to you.

welcome, Sandy!  I've been in a non-computer sort of mood this week and
haven't been replying much.  Blend that with an 11 pound cat who's been
clingy much of the week and typing has really been an issue!  Please, don't
let shyness keep you from posting.  Remember, after all, we can't see you and
only know what you tell us, but someone here has probably been through just
about anything you have.  I started out rather shy about posting and rarely
did so for a couple of years, but now I am blessed with many friends from
this group!
