well, I'm just nudging up on 50 (2 months off), but I am the youngest of
three. NONE of us had our tonsils out, despite repeated tonsilitis as kids
and a number of earaches and even more swimmer's ear. I don't know how much
was our doc and how much was my mom, but they were in agreement to watch and
treat and see if we outgrew stuff before cutting on us. We all outgrew the
frequent part of the sore throats and ear aches.
And we all three have auto-immune disorders - as did both our parents.

Oh,,,, if only they had taken my tonsils out,,,, ya think??? LOL
SomBodyElse
My poor tonsils...I had so many infections and they wanted to take them out
when I was 2 but my mom wouldn't let them and all of my childhood I had lots
of tonsilitis and unexplained fevers...Ohhhhh I had so many cold baths in
the middle of the night....finally at the age of 13...WHACK...
And I finally stopped being sick...Now..I don't know what that has to do
with anything...but I was always sick as a child...and now I just have OA
and FM...no real autoimmune diseases....
