my sweet mother passed away, in the hospital, this morning at 7am -- softly, gently, quietly. there is now another big hole in our family and in our hearts. she was taken to ER on the 11th, 3 days ago, because of a raging and persistant infection, swelling, and lethargy. she was severely dehydrated, her kidneys failed; and she had extensive blood clots that caused her body to swell from the waist down and turned her right foot black within those few days. she will be so missed. we are grateful that she will not have to endure what would have been medically forthcoming, to no avail, and that she has moved on from loving hearts to loving arms. kate Oh my,,,,, gentle hugs to Kate and family and thanks to you Chief. Your family will be in my prayers. I lost my mother just coming up to one year ago, and I still miss her, but wouldn't want her here suffering as she did towards the end. That would be selfish of me. I had been concerned because I was so sure it was her father who had been ill recently and wondered how he was coping. Of course she has our love and support Jo Oh my gosh, how much does one person have to endure? Poor Kate!!! She has had to go through sooooooo much these last few years----just doesn't seem fair. I know, life isn't fair, but wow, Kate really has had to endure a lot! Sending prayers for Kate and all of her family as they struggle through all of this.
