My brother died this past Monday. He had liver failure from drinking to much, just age 50, only 14 months older than me. We went through school in the same grades so in many ways we were more like twins. I loved him dearly in spite of his problem and it's hard to imgine my life without him in it. He was in a lot of pain and was ready to go and I'm thankfull he is not suffering. He was never RA positive but had a great deal of joint pain none the less and large joints in his hands so I always wondered. He has alot of mental problems and I believe that although he has done this to himself...I can't think but wonder if we knew then what we know now...About mental disease and other disorders. I am sorry this is not the time for me to talk about this. My brother also has Hep C and severe arthritis. His mental problems add to the mix.. I can understand how you love your brother in spite of the things he did to his body to shorten his life... My prayers are with you and his family. It must be very difficult for his children. I hope he knew that he had a sister that loved him for himself and his children felt the same way. No pain now. Please take things easy for awhile.
