Hi Gang,

Just got off the phone with Duckie!   She sounds great!

She just got home from the hospital yesterday, and seems to be doing
well.  Her PT will start coming out on monday to work with her.

The surgery itself went fine and she said her scar is considerable
shorter than her other one because the technology has improved so much
just in t he last 2-3 years since her last surgery.   She had some
problems with pain meds causing her nausea at first, but finally found
one that worked well for her and didn't make her naseaous.  Yay!  She
asked for the same med in pill form to come home with so she knew it
would work for her.  She says she already  has about 50% bend in her
leg, so that is good.

She was so very sad and so sorry to hear about Diane W.  and asked that
her condolences be added to everyone elses and passed along to the
family.

Keep her and John in your prayers, as they have put a bid in on a house
and hope to hear something this coming week.
She also asked me to let you know that she hasn't been online because
she is having some computer problems and doesn't know when she will be
able to get those taken care of.  So much going on in their lives right
now between the surgery, looking for a house, getting ready to be a
grandma (Jennifer is due in june), and all the other things that life
throws at you.  

I told her that we are all praying for her and sending her healing
thoughts and that I would check back in with her either at the end of
the week or next weekend to see if they got the house as well as to
check in on her and see how she is doing.

Like I said, she sounded great and very upbeat.  She had some hilarious
stories to share from her time in the hospital.

Anyways, she sends her love to you all and appreciates the concern!
