Hello everyone,
Someone mentioned to me yesterday that Mobic was used for OA also. can
anyone tell me more about it, I am on Celebrex now, with very little
results, have to take Percocet to really relieve the pain.
Thank you.
Ladybug.

Hello, Ladybug -
I'm on Mobic (for OA & fibro) and it doesn't impress me much.
I did great on Vioxx and wish every day I could have it back.
Tried Bextra and had a horrible reaction - got *very* sick & had to go
off all meds for 6 weeks to let my body recover! I'm allergic to sulfa &
shouldn't have been given the Bextra at all.
Went on Celebrex and did "ok", but it made me stupid. :-D "Cognitive
problems", I believe they call it. I didn't like being stupid and
knowing I was stupid, so we switched to Mobic.
As I said, it's better than nothing, but not by much. Celebrex & Bextra
are wonder drugs for some people. I'm holding on for Arcoxia, the next
COX2, to be approved for the U.S.
Your Mileage May Vary. Good luck!
Beth

I'm on Mobic, and I don't think it does much for me.

My husband takes it for some arthritis he has in his shoulder and neck...My
doctor hasn't prescribed it for me though... I thought I might try it...My
OA is much more advanced than that of my husbands and...mostly none of the
meds help that much...We do have a friend that has severe OA and he swears
by Mobic...the one good thing...it has recently went Generic...a script cost
under 10.00 without insurance...

I tried Mobic a long time ago. It did absolutely nothing for me. I had
to go back to Darvocet. Celebrex didn't work for me either.

Hello Ladybug,
I used Mobic for three mounths last spring I beleive. I found it
better than nothing. I have since switched to Relafen. I think its
better but it might just be that I'm doing less house chores the last
three months. Hope mt two cents helps.

Thank you all for your input on Mobic, I started yesterday, I have tried so
many I lost track, I have to agree, that Vioxx was good for the pain, but at
the time maybe my Osteo was not that bad, I don't know anymore.
You all take care.
