Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. They were appreciated.
Well, nothing broken. Doc loaded me up with muscle relaxers (take just
before bedtime), nsaids, and vicoden.
As much as I hate taking nsaids, I have to say they really help. Have been
walking around the house without my cane but can easily overdo that and have
to ice and rest. Actually got to take a shower today!! Yaaay! The dogs
really appreciated that!
Have not driven yet, but am thinking perhaps this weekend. Physical therapy
evaluation on Thurs morn. See doc again on Thurs. afternoon. Hopefully the
evaluation results will be ready by then. Am off work 'till further notice.
Have to apply for FMLA to cover the time. Can get by missing one paycheck,
but after that... I do have 2 weeks of vacation time I can burn to help
cover missed work. Have a little sciatic involvement, especially after
sitting for awhile. Also get some numbness in my left toes and foot to go
with it.
Mike has been a willing helper as long as I tell him what needs to be done.
He cooked us steaks on the grill last night that turned out wonderfully. For
16 he is getting pretty good with cooking. He gets excited when he has the
opportunity to cook something new to him.
The dogs have been pretty sympathetic to my plight and do more nuzzling and
laying with me than usual. Cool.
Happy b'day to all the March celebrants! May this year be kind to you all.

Gary,
Really glad to read that you went and got checked over by your doctor
and that nothing was broken!
Glad also to hear that you are moving around a bit but also taking it a
bit easy and resting that poor sore body of yours!!!
Give Mike a hug for helping out so much and for stepping up to the plate
to do so. Good for him for cooking you dinner!!!
Glad to know that the puppys are giving you lots of snuggles and nuzzles
of love as well.
Rest and take it easy my friend and feel better SOON!!!

Good nothing is broken, but bruised can be almost as bad if not worse than
broken.
Glad you are able to get up and move somewhat.
I feel for you with this Gary, I know it is not fun.
It is Good Mike is doing so much to help you out. Hey he might become a
famous chef yet. My one son Chris loves to cook and makes my recipes look
sick. He adjusts what I put in there to make something better. I think he
likes to show up his mom. LOL ;-)
You all take care.

Glad to hear nothing is broken! Now, please, please take GREAT care whenever
you have to go outside for any reason, such as PT and doctors. This meass of
weather we've been having in the midwest lately makes for treachorous
conditions outside.
Your Mike sounds like my Mike - will help (some) if you instruct. Your Mike
has an excuse though, being 16. My Mike should have *a bit* more initiative
in helping, having turned 62 yesterday! LOL
pets can be a comfort when you're down - just don't let them trip you in
their efforts to attend to you! LOL Take care and recover.
