I had a really good appointment with my RD.  He listened, agreed, gave
me a prescription for the anti-bio protocol.   Metacycline which has
replaced the old tetracycline with reduced side effects.  I did not realize
it had to be taken everyday,,, twice a day to begin with.
We are having a beautiful, a clear cool day in Houston with a light
northern breeze.  It is the kind of day where I usually go outside and do
something to fix up the place.   I will resist today because my birthday
present came in today and needs to be played.    Xbox 360 game called  Lost
Planet.  If you want me today,,, I will be wayyyy out in outer space killing
some,,,, lets seee,,,,  Robots,,,aliens,,,, and bad guys.

Harv,
Did You doc take you off the other meds you were on to go on the antibiotic
treatment.  I have just come off 2 weeks of zithromax for another sinus
infection and I swear each time it makes my arthritis better, but the doc I
go to said that is only a treatment for people diagnosed early in their
treatment.  I was a little disappointed, will be curious to see how you do
with it. He had said that he uses mynociline, (sp) for his new patients but
because of my erosions in my feet I am not a candidate it has progressed to
far. I thought it was worth a try.

Yes,,,, I was on a added dmard to see if I could take it now.
Arava---stopped
Enbrel---stopped
prednisone----which is always just sitting there if I need it

and it still is as an add on to what you now take.  It is something you and
your RD have to work out.    I will post in the newsgroup how it goes or if
it does not go anywhere too.   The doc said I could take an Embrel shot
every now and then if needed.

Harv,

glad to see you back. Good your RD appt was a good one.

glad you are enjoying your birthday gift. Happy belated birthday. I hope you
didn't mind that I put you on the birthday list I am now posting each month.

Maybe it is better that you are playing the game instead of outside working.
I did that and now am paying big time for the last two weeks too. ;-(

I hope the Metacycline works for you and does a great job. Keep us posted to
how it is going.

Happy belated birthday, Harv and have loads of fun with your new toy!  I
suspect we won't see much of you for a while!  ;-)  I rediscovered my
Railroad Tycoon addiction with my recent virus and find myself wasting far
too much time on it, but I don't mind!

Got my fingers crossed that the antibx protocal works for you.

Thank you for your kind words.   I am a strong believer in dealing with
facts and not opinion or the what if's.  I am dealing with inflam.arth. and
no one has come up with a cure yet.   For me, it is about finding what works
best and is the cheapest.

When you go through complete remission twice when a strong antibiotic is
used over time,  I do not need someone to hit me with a baseball bat to get
my attention.   The thing is though,  the anti-bio used is not a strong one
and we shall see what we see.
