me, me, me . . . is what is always feels like whenever post an update or
this kind of thing.
i've been in a battle with some kind of bug/s these past bunch of weeks. it
was quite a challenge. i won. i think. or i hope.
there were a ridiculous amount of symptoms to contend with. i had been
dealing with all kinds of ibs, skin eruptions and acidity, etc., etc.
symptoms for a few weeks, while i was on asa. and then, i got hit by the
headache from hell, whose heels were stepped on by upper digestive
projectile distress and a fever of 103.6. sounds like enough, huh? nope.
next came neck and back spasms, for a couple of days, so severe it felt like
charley horses in your calf do, only in my neck and back; and then came what
felt like a week of stiffness, not being able to bend my spine or turn my
head or lift my arms, without excruciating pain--driving was out of the
question. so, no. i didn't make it to the doctor and i wanted to be left
alone. felt like a cat who wanted to hide. thank goodness i had straws and
two cases of vitamin rich smoothies i had been intending to donate and lots
of bottled water. needless to say, we won't discuss what my hair looked
like for a week, but i like what my bathroom scale says, while it doesn't
groan under the tremendous load i usually inflicted upon it.<smile>
anyway, i think that's all behind me and obviously, i'm back.

i have no real knowledge, kelly, just guesses. yeah, i did get my flu shot,
in october.
the first bug or whatever it was that caused the first batch of symptoms
(first 2 or 3-ish weeks), i have no idea what the cause was. i was doing a
lot of guessing/groping around about that, during that time, thinking my
digestive processes were out of whack.
the second batch of symptoms (headache, fever and upper digestive distress)
my son and his soon to be fiance (they picked out a ring and he's going to
give it to her in april, when she graduates from gene juarez---yay, i might
just have a daughter.) gifted me with, cuz they were hammered with it first,
but came over here with it. isn't my son generous? :-{
i have no idea what caused the spasms from hell that must have caused the
stiffness that wouldn't go away. i'm not sure but kind of thinking i got
hit by maybe 2 or 3 bugs almost simultaneously. or the spasm stuff was
arthur throwing a hissy fit over the physical stress of other stuff. who
knows? i'm guessing that the lower bowel stuff and etc. set me up (wore my
system down) for alex's bug. does any of that make sense? i think i've
thought about it too much and am now going in mental circles about it. all
i really know is that i'm glad the worst is overwith. :-)

Welcome to the club Kate! Been battling mine for two weeks now. Doc says it
has turned into a "touch" of pneumonia in my right lung. Is that different
than actually Having pneumonia!? lol

dang, guy! i sure hope you're feeling much better. that is pretty nasty
stuff.
LOL--"a touch" of pneumonia is kind of like when a signal light is not quite
red, but just about red--"sorta orange", like a judge in traffic court once
told a friend of mine who ran a red light .<g> yes, you have pneumonia, but
apparently it was caught before it was full blown, thank goodness.

Well - that bug really learned its lesson biting you, huh?!! It bit, it
hung on, but couldn't knock you down for long.
Glad you hung in and are doing better!
We've had our own version here - upper respiratory stuff that tuned to
bronchitis for me. Ian has it now and its irritating his asthma. I'm still
coughing some, too. Have been going through this since the second week of
January.
