Hello,
My name is Dean and I have had moderate pain in my left knee since
September 2006. 10 years ago I had knee surgery to repair a torn ACL
and meniscus. I have worked on my feet for the last five or six years
and it started to catch up with me a few months ago. The doctor who
did the ACL repair has diagnosed me with OA and since my initial pain
I have taken all the supplements related to reducing pain and reparing
cartilage; glucosamine, msm, chrondroitin, devil's claw, etc. I did a
ton or research on meniscal tears, ACI implantation etc. in hopes of
figuring out where this condition was headed and came across
Reparagen, a supplement that is purported to turn on genes in your
body that help rebuild cartilage. I ordered some and began taking it
50 days ago, 2 capsules a day. I have not had any noticeable reduction
in my joint pain since it began to be severe in Sepetember 2006.
I am writing this newsgroup to find out if any of you are taking the
same supplement and may have had it work for you.
Thanks,
Dean

If it has not worked in this time period I would guess it might not. Try
stopping and see if there is any difference. Glucosomine and chondroitin
work for some. You might need to see if there is any physio to strengthen
the muscles around to assist, maybe you might need some bracing, maybe more
surgery unfortunately. check again with specialists and with physio or
rehab doctors to see if they can help. It seems you have taken most of the
supplements that might have worked. I would be suspicious of the Reparagen
working personally just because of the advertising. If such a thing could
turn on genes to rebuild cartilage someone would be lining up for the Nobel
Prize podium.
Good luck and let us know what you find out from the doctor. There might be
someone around with the same type of injury so hang around.
