Can  you believe I can finally write a post?  My husband bought me an
HP. Pocket PC which I am enjoying very much. That's the good news. I'll
is a bit tedious to write so my posts  will be short but at least they
have predictive text. You can write on the screen with a stylus and it
a converts to  print. Way cool!!

So much for the good news. I'm in the hospital again. The abcess that
formed on my knee is not healing and tunneling badly undermining it's
called. Combined with a return of the cellulitus 24 hrs after the
vancomyacin was stopped.  I have been on Vancomyicin for 8 weeks and
still have MERSA. Can't believe it. Between Enbrel and medrol my immune
system is shot.

Monday I'm scheduled for surgery on my knee wound. Something called an
I and D. Find out more about it today when the surgeon comes in. Oh
yeah - surgical debridment. I'm going to end up with a huge wound  on
the inside of my knee thal will take forever to heal.

The bad thing about these infections is that they cause my MS to flare.
So I can't stand again. With a gait belt and some help I can and I can
take a few steps but not
anything even remotely resembling functional. I will get back soon. I
did it before and I'll do it again.
So...time for plan B. DH is remodeling the master  bedroom to
accomodate my wheelchair and walker. The new flooring is a vinyl that
looks like hardwood. It's a commercial  product and is very durable.
And it looks just   like the real thing. Next will be the bathroom
remodeling. This will take a while because our city takes forever to
get permits through. Plus I'm still trying to find a universal design
that wows me.

Enough for now. I'm hanging in there fighting a bit of depression with
this last setback plus it's the anniversary of Mom's death. I tend to
cry easily but not so much as a few weeks ago.

Soon I'll know if I'm doing this correctly or not. The SNF doesn't have
wi fi so but till then....
