I have MAJOR cabin fever... We have been some what iced in since last Friday
and I have been out twice this week just down the street to the store and
back home..30 minute trip tops..Kids have been home since last Friday and I
love them very dearly..but I need a break.. My kids are 17,15, 11.. All boys
.. My youngest is literally climbing the walls. I let him go out to play in
this stuff but it is so cold and he can only stand it for 15 minutes at a
time. I think they have watched every DVD and played every game that we own
and we have even bought several pay per view movies to help. God only knows
what my cable bill will be next billing. Tomorrow is my youngest sons
birthday and he will actually then be officially 11 and we are having to
postpone his party this weekend due to the weather..we are getting 5-10
inches of snow.
Now for the letting off of more steam.. on top of this my dear hubby had
decided to quit smoking this week he started last Sunday and is using the
patches..he was ok until today ..oh man did the cravings hit him hard and
the withdrawals too.. he is driving me crazy and is making me a nervous
wreck.. I love him I want this for him and I am going to keep quiet and be
supportive. It is so hard to bite my lip but it will be better in the long
run cause he will be smoke free and healthier for it.
Ok I am better now and thanks for the venting..:of)

Hey, anytime :-)  3 sons?  Pre-teen and teens?  Gotcha!  Major cabin fever
there!  I am really thankful this winter for living where we do - Ohio.  We
haven't even had any amount of snow, nor ice.  My husband hasn't had to
shovel sidewalks yet.  Don't be jealous, however, Ohio can get hit hard yet,
but it's sure good not to have the weather problems as elsewhere.  Keep
sticking it out with your hubby.  I've never had an addiction to nicotine,
but as I understand it, there is both an emotional and a physical
withdrawal.  Hope you can get out real soon!  Nanny

((((((((((((((((((((rhonda)))))))))))))))))  sounds like you could use a tub
full of bubble bath, some candles around the tub, a bit of music and some
yummy chocolate.

Hi Rhonda,
How I survived on the patch was to remind myself that I was NOT experiencing
withdrawal from nicotine. I had all the nicotine in me I needed from the
patch. What I was experiencing was the mental habit I had developed.
I also followed my own needs as to when I was ready to move to the next
lower level and not because someone else told me to do it.

Rhonda...Get out today...Now...The side roads are slippery..but the
Interstates are good...Just go for a Road trip to Moore and back...LOL...
I got out the last couple of days...First I had to stock back up on
Grocerys...and then Yesterday ...I had a Doctors appt with Dr. Willis and so
a trip to the pharmacy..the Dollar store...gas station...Bread Store.(They
had no bread..NO kidding...The truck hadn't been all week.) Stopped back at
the Grocery store...Today back to the movie place...
For all you Not in Oklahoma...This is so unusual that our schools in the
City to be closed down for more than 2 days...because of weather...We were
out Monday for MLK any way, plus now 3 more days and I really don't see it
improving enough for them to go tomorrow...and like Rhonda said..we are
expecting 5 to 10 inches of snow on top  of this 3 inches of solid sleet we
have...this is the weirdest thing I have ever seen...
I have seen Ice and I have seen snow, but this is Rock Solid SLEET...And it
hasn't melted one itota...Today it is suppose to finally get above freezing,
but just barely and then tomorrow the snow will hit...
Sorry this is so long...
And the poor souls in the south east that have no electricity for almost a
week....I just don't know..I am sure you have seen the pictures on the
national news...

Rhonda...stay warm...try and get out a little today....
Save your sanity....Take your boys to the movies...or the mall....
Hugs Cindy

Send hubby to alt.support.stop-smoking. There's a bunch of new quitters
there now and he can deal with it all with fellow quitters instead of with
you. You can pay for the extra cable fromthe savings of not buying cigs any
more.<g> Hang in there!  (Don't nobuddy tell her I'm in FL!)

Hugs from Rosie

I heard that... man I bet it is nice and toasty there...
I am headed to the store and out just out anywhere...
I asked the kids if they wanted to go and they said no. I will just be by
myself..I like that idea.
Cindy, my sis in law lives in Muskogee they have been without power for
days. My in laws live in SE Oklahoma se of McAlester. They were on the
cutoff line and did not get anything but rain. They still cant go to the
store because they shop in McAlester. Yes our school district has closed
school for 3 days now and the kids have been home a whole week tomorrow
because of this stuff. I just hope the school districts do not try to take
away the kids spring break and just tack on the days to the end of the year.
My son was shoveling the ice yesterday and it was exactly almost 4 inches
deep on the sidewalk. when the ice broke off into chunks you could see how
deep it was. I see you saw Dr Willis yesterday  I need to get back in to see
him soon that reminds me to make an appointment. Get your groceries and
movies and get ready for another round of this weird weather. I can't
believe the bread store is out of bread. I need to go to Albertsons in Yukon
..they have a good sale today. Then to Big Lots just to see what they have.
The last time we had weather like this I was in 8th grade.. 19hmmmm..
Anyways.. you guys be careful if you are expecting bad weather this weekend.
Get some food and a movie and snuggle up and keep warm.

Do you guys like Dr. Willis?  I saw him back in the early 90's when we lived
in OK and I was diagnosed with Lyme and Lyme arthritis.  He literally saved
my sanity!!!  Glad to hear he is still practicing.
