Finally heard from the GI doc's office. The test came back negative - which
means I do NOT have Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, or Irritable Bowel
Syndrome. Whoosh! That's a relief!! I was not looking forward to yet more
pills. It means that the bleeding ulcers WERE caused by the Arthrotec. Now I
have to wait until February 15th for my appointment with the doctor to see
if I can take a different kind of anti-inflammatory or if I have to do
without them from now on. I am not sure I can handle that one, but life goes
on.
We're just waiting now until the 31st for closing on the house. I have been
packing up a LOT of stuff. How'd we get all that stuff into this little
ranch?? There are things about this ranch condo I will miss...the huge
bathrooms for one. Can't wait to get settled and unpacked at the house.
Thank you to all for your prayers and good wishes!!

That is some really good news, but bad that it is bleeding ulcers. I have
the ulcerative colitis and someother GI problem that I can not pronounce.
You do not want either. I am praying for you guys to have a really easy move
and that you not get overly tired and worn down.
Take care and see you soon,

Well the ulcers are no picnic, but I guess one of the other things could
be worse. Hopefully there will be something you can take that won't
bother your tummy again.
I've always bragged that I had a cast iron tummy because of all the
anti-inflammatory stuff I've taken over the years, but a couple of years
ago I was diagnosed with IBS and I really don't know where that came
from. Feel better and don't overdo with the packing and moving
Congratulations on the new home. I loved the pictures..

Mine cropped up after an intestinal virus freshman year of college. Haven't
been the same since.
OTOH, my son's food allergies also went away after an intense intestinal
virus. The doctor confirms that its a rare thing, bit it does happen. They
don't know why but viruses can make permanent changes in the gut.

After a period your stomach should heal and then perhaps resstarting the
meds.
As to the house, can you say huge yard sale followed by large dumpster?! I
have been slowly clearing out junk here to the great benefit of Salvation
Army. If I've not even seen it in 5 yrs and I run across it, out it goes.
Obviously didn't need it.

We did that when we moved here. Over half of what we had "went away" in
sales/donations/dumpster. I had no idea we could accumulate so much in the
16 months we've lived here. Wow. We already have three big boxes marked yard
sale and there will be more! LOL

Dee Tee,
I sure hope they can find a med that works for you that does not cause the
bleeding.
I am glad it didn't end up being one of the other things.
Good luck with the move and don't overdo. I know you will, it can't be
helped but it sounded good. ;-)

well, good! now just don't you dare let this move flare things up for you.
As much as I know you want to be in your house, the first goal is to get you
all healed up.
as for moving - I was just wondering earlier today if there's any hope of
getting the DH to throw out some small stuff on our next move. For someone
who talks about a low-key lifestyle, he surely does acquire - and hold on to
- stuff!

Mike and I need to get together and compare notes. <g>
I have 2 bookcases filled with books dating to 1880.
I have my junior high, senior high, and college yearbooks.
I have boxes and boxes filled with trains and fire engines
(ran out of wall space to display all of them).
... My Cray XMP is in the shop, so I have to use this windoze system.
