Yesterday it rained.
The day before I was out sweeping driveway and sidewalk, then raked a few
leaves. (Yeah I know I was asking for it).
About an hour after that my knee started itching. I looked and it had a
small bump like I could have gotten bitten. Took some benedryl and it helped
it. The knee above the knee and lower thigh was swollen. That night when in
bed, my right foot by the pinkie side by that bone alone the foot started
itching and swelling. But no bite mark looking thing.
This morning, my left hip and part of butt cheek started itching and
swelling like when my bursitis starts acting up. Later on today left foot
same thing. This afternoon layed down to take nap and was reading holding
book in my right hand. The palm of my hand started itching and swelling by
the thumb area.
So now the question. Does this sound like bursitis acting in all these
areas, or arthritis. I don't think it was bug bites because the other areas
didn't get the bug bite area like the knee did.
Just curious what you think. I know we are not doctors. Just wondering if
anyone else has experienced this kind of reaction from a flare of arthritis
with the weather change or bursitis stuff.
I don't have a dr and can't afford one right now so I am playing it by ear
at the moment.
Oh and by the way, when I have had the bursitis attacks before in the hips
and shoulders, if I take a benedryl it helps. Isn't that weird.

Hi Jo,
sounds to me like your having some sort of systemic allergic reaction
considering the benedryl helps as you say. Might want to have that checked
out asap.

Ditto to what Gary said...

Yeah but if it was a allergic reaction why would it be in the joint areas
only. That is weird. This is a swelling like if from arthritic stuff. Not
hives or something like that. I mean my knee did have a hive looking thing
there but I think that was from me scratching it so much. It was there with
the other swelling stuff.
Benedryl does help with the swelling but not the pain. I should have put
that there.

Don't know Jo. Have a friend who is allergic to bee stings. His throat
swells so badly, he can't breathe. Must get help immediately.
