Had my first visit from the rehab department. 2 hours, great
information shared regarding my hip replacemet...let me know if these
sound familiar;
1) two concerns...dislocation and infection
2) Do not exceed 90 degree angle
3) I need to put blocks undereath my 'easy' chair.
4) worked on getting in and out of bed
5) he had me walk so he could see my gait
6) worked on activities that I can do to help loosen up my leg after I
had been sitting for awhile.
I learned a lot. We do it again Wednesday.

Don't overdo during the holidays, Mark. I'm hoping for you a good and
complete recovery period and less pain afterwards! Nanny

They all sound like "really right on"rules. Something that helped me in
early stages was what I call a lasso. It was a piece of webbing with a
fixed loop on the end, which I tossed around my foot to help me lift it into
bed. I hope I explained that right.
Sincerely

Good luck with it Mark.
You know, when I first read the header I figured jonnie and I had another
"moaner" to join us and that would make a trio. We could have cut an album
maybe! We've been doing home rehab in the sense of fixing floors, walls,
etc. and moaning here afterwards! If we could find two more people we could
start a "barbershop" quartet of moaners!!
Wouldn't we all love to hear that!?
