Do whatever it takes to get through this Becky. One hour at a time and then
one day at a time. Have some tears, remember the good times. Maybe a
change of scenery, perhaps a treasured tradition or maybe not. My mom could
not put up a tree for 3 years after dad died. Now she just decorates her
house with her ornaments but no tree.
My thoughts are with you this year. Whatever you do will be right - you can
do it. And we will be around.

Thanks Kelly,
It is difficult but I will get through it, my family is wonderful and my two
sons are the best. We are doing things a little different this year, I did
put up the tree but decorated it different and will be going to my sons
house instead of them coming here.
Hope you enjoy a wonderful Christmas,
Becky

Becky...I was happy to see that one of the first cards I got was from
you...and I do know how difficult that was for you...
On my fibro support group, we were talking about Christmas Spirit and I
posted about the loss of my dad 3 years ago...the day before Thanksgiving.
My dad was only 67...And we got through the holidays by being determined to
get through them for Mom...This is what I wrote...
"I think I would be very disappointed if my Mom suddenly stopped
celebrating...
I felt like she might the year my Dad died. He has been gone for 3 years
now...He died the day before Thanksgiving. Those first holidays were very
hard, but I don't think us kids noticed so much our own pain as we were
trying so hard to get Mom through...But if she had shut down at any
time...stopped the traditions of all the years...no way we could have went
on...
So my Mother...once again in all her pain..made sure us kids enjoyed our
Christmas"
So Becky...I know that the love you and your Kids have for each other and
their Dad..will get you through this difficult time...And the memories will
be bittersweet this year...but next year will be a little easier and the
next easier...You will never forget and that is what makes Him so special in
your lives...and as your traditions change to meet the new changes of your
lives...He will live on with you in the old...
These words are so much easier for me to write than for you to live ...I
know..but prayers work and I am sending a ton of them for you...
Hugs Cindy
