Displaced Anger: Attn Harv

Recently one of my sisters was very hurt by something the other said
and ended up saying something very innapropriate to her. In my heart I
believe that it was not so much what was said, that was the problem as
the fact that she was angry that her son was not here and Christmas is
coming. I think she was angry because she has had cancer, and has
never really recovered. The other one is having health issues as well,
and as a result has needed a great deal of physical and emotional
support. I believe that sister A was not really upset at sister B, but
was displacing her anger.

I wonder if this is what is up with Harv.

so I am asking from my heart, Harv- and this is for you tho think
about, not necessarily share- but are things ok for you now? Is your
RA stable, is the family OK, is there something going on that is
eating at you?

I can see no other reason for the deep anger and resentment you have
shown. Something has to be going on with you and you need to address
it.
Please find someone you can talk to- someone not involved with your
life so that he or she can see the total picture. Perhaps you would
feel comfortable talking to your minister, doctor, counsellor, or
other health care provider.

Unresolved anger can result in bigger health issues.

I believe that you need to deal with this. Christmas is a stressful
time for many, and that is why the suicide rate is the highest at
Christmas time. You need to deal with whatever it is that is causing
you such grief.

Thank all of you caring people.   I do have things that I can not control
going on and it seems that I bring it with me in the newsgroup.   Not going
to do that any more and I will be gone for awhile. I want all of you to have
the best of Christmas or Honokaa(sp) or a dance in the moonlight with other
witches if that is what turns you on.   I will be checking to see who needs
praying for the most and a prayer for me would not hurt either.
bless all of you

Harv,

I will be praying that things turn around for you. You have a good break
from the group. Merry Christmas to you.

Hi Harv,
Sorry to hear your report, but am glad you can see it. I have been reading a
book lately that I ordered and said I would report on that I think is very
appropriate. It is called "Full Catastrophe Living" by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.
It is the program of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of
Massachusetts. It is a program in what is called mindful meditation. It
looks to be extremely successful and effective. Don't be fooled by the title
or subject matter.
Many people older than us are successful participants. Might be well worth a
read and try.

Merry Christmas! Hang in there..this junk is not fun and it can get very
very frustrating for a person when it is kicking our butt. Do you have
someone you can vent on? Or just talk with? I know for me I can get pretty
gripy and frustrated when my RA is flaring and I feel like crap. I just
wanted to say I am here if you just need to vent. I would be more than happy
to give you my email address wood89@nospamcox.net. You know to take the
nospam out and it will work. If you have no one to vent with then email me
and I will lend an ear.
