The human body's protection against infectious agents is in part
determined by the level of circulating antibodies, or the proteins
known as immunoglobulins.

Levels of all three classes of immunoglobulins were found to be
significantly correlated. This suggests that humoral immunity is not
impaired even under acute nutritional stress.

Orrrrr / another scenario  .. ?

Increased hemoglobin leads to impaired immunity.

Where did numbnutz read that?

Immunoglobulin levels in populations with low hemoglobin levels: Study
of five tribes of central India
Human Biology,  Dec 1995  by Das, M K,  Das, Ketaki

Abstract Average hemoglobin levels for 424 individuals belonging to 5
tribes of central India vary between 10.64 g/dl and 11.30 g/dl among
males and between 9.62 g/dl and 9.97 g/dl among females. These ranges
indicate the poor state of health and nutrition in these tribes. Three
immunoglobulin levels (IgG, IgA, and IgM) measured in a subset of the
424 individuals reveal that immunoglobulin and hemoglobin levels are
inversely related to some extent. Levels of all three classes of
immunoglobulins were found to be significantly correlated. This
suggests that humoral immunity is not impaired even under acute
nutritional stress.

Hemoglobin (Hb) level is a good indicator of health and nutritional
status. Both hereditary and environmental factors (age, sex,
nutritional status, climate, altitude, and immune response) influence
Hb concentration in an individual's blood. Beall et al. (1994)
estimated a hereditary component of 0.66 in Hb concentration among
Tibetan highlanders. Life-long differences in Hb levels between blacks
and whites, two diverse ethnic groups, has also been suggested (Garn et
al. 1974, 1975). A number of surveys conducted in many parts of the
world suggest that the main cause of low levels of circulating Hb is
iron deficiency (Elwood et al. 1976; Baker and DeMaeyer 1979).

Information about the health and nutritional status of Indian
traditional tribal populations is sparse. Amid ethnogeographic
diversity many of the populations carry a considerable load of diseases
because they come from diverse ecological zones with different
distributions of bacterial and parasitic diseases that are manifested
in a varied pattern in humans. A large number of tribal peoples live
under impoverished conditions and continuously face the ravages of
disease in certain regions. The human body's protection against
infectious agents is in part determined by the level of circulating
antibodies, or the proteins known as immunoglobulins.

Ah, hey idiot!  That's exactly what people with an autoimmune disease
need.  Ummm, duh!  The immune system is overactive in these diseases.

You ARE a moron!
