While walking past my daughter's door, I spotted a two page
handwritten document and began reading. After awhile, I realized that
this had written as a response to our pastor preaching about
Thanksgiving attitudes. (I did ask her if I could put it online to
which she agreed.)
Thank You, Lord, my family, the love, Christian values, Your presence,
thank You for republicans and democrats, thank You for our President,
the court system, and district 22. Thank You for Texas, and the 49
other states. Thank You for being there, Your sacrifice, Your Son, and
for Your Unconditional Love. Thank You for taking time to save us
sinners who should have already been in debt to You.
Thank You for my paints, my talents, stinky turpenoid, my viola and
wind instruments. Thanks for making them cheap. Thanks for my
family's talents that we might be the more unified! Thanks for
AWANAs and each person I have had the honor to meet.
Thanks for my brothers, help them to know that I really do love them.
Thanks for the arguments, we are allowed to have. Thanks for my
Father, my Mother who have guided me, shielded me and love me. I may
never be able to repay them, but thank You for the ability to say
thanks. Thank You for cows, chicks, kittens, dogs, ponies, and all
things feminine and masculine.
Thank You for the food we eat, the money we have and the fact we have
junk stacked and moldy in our refridgerator. Thank You for milk to
drink, sweets to eat, and the things we enjoy. And humor!:-).
Thank You for our home, our silly bathtub and plumbing and that we can
work at it. Sorry that I whine and am imperfect, please help me to be
a better Christian that I might serve instead of watch life pass by.
Thank you for my body, my fat, my legs, my eyes, their color, thank
You for my nose and mouth and my hair. Sorry that I'm so
uncomplimentary that I'm not always quick to act or that I always
think.
Thank You for the people that surround me and for always being there.
That we might think of Your hand and being there.
Thanks for hats, paper, and ideas that we might express.
Help me to make a difference in someone's life. Thanks for being
and thanks for the pain, You suffered that we might be saved.
Thank You for being King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Thanks for being You!
