Sending all you folk who have many sleepless nights my warm wishes and
prayers for relief from your nights of pain.

At 4 AM this morning I found myself having a hot bath..thinking, as
many do who can't sleep, about fairer times in our lives.....times when
we slept like babies, waking refreshed....10ft. tall and bullet
proof......My how time can humble the most mightiest of us all.......

But I had to pull myself up short from my "bath" in self-pity.....I
have a wife who loves me...3 great kids who think I'm a hoot........a
dog who looks to my hand for everything.....There are sooo many who are
much worse off than me...right here in my town..........

Gump said it best...."Life is like a box of chocolates.....you never
know what you're gonna get..""

So, today I'll make a silk purse out of a sow's ear..........

you are seeing things about your life clearer than you know, guy.    but
it's not a sow's ear, at all.  it is a silk purse, with just a little lint
in it.

to tell you the truth, paul, i still sleep like a baby.  but all that waking
up every two hours is not what it's cracked up to be.

deetee has a good track on this and what she does about it really does help.
i sometimes find just gratitude, itself, helps, too.

I hear ya, Paul.  I was rudely awakened at 2:30 in the morning by vicious leg
cramps.  Finally eased them enough to stumble to the living room where the
massager is plugged in.  Using that improved things enough to get back in bed
a little past 3 or so - with the cat following me and us snuggling up with
the man I married 16 years ago yesterday.

I had a couple of hellish years with my PsA just before I met my DH so I know
that he truly does make the bad days much easier for me.  I'd rather have a
better behaved immune system, but I have a lot to be grateful for in my life.
