All this talk of chocolate, and there is bad news here in Ontario. The Hershey's
Chocolate plant about 12 miles from here has had to close due to receiving some
goods contaminated with salmonella! They don't know how long they will be
closed, and all employees are out of work until they reopen. Some products have
been recalled. They seem to be right on top of it, but it's scary. This close to
Christmas too, as sales are heavy then, and workers out of work.

We were wondering how long it takes to de-contaminate a large plant like that. O
Henry bars, peanut butter cups, things like that were affected. ;-(

So really guard your chocolate, folks, some needy folks from Ontario may be
sneaking in to steal yours!

eeeeeek!  MAJOR bummer, joan!   that's totally not good for a person in your
condition!  (condition, meaning on the verge or chocolate rationing)  so
what kind of chocolate do you enjoy that we can send you from the states?
