welcome to our asa family, karen.  i'm sorry you have arthritis and are
hurting, but you've come to the right place with it.  have a seat.  get to
know us and allow us to get to know you.  we have hugs and tears, laughs and
cheers to share and to spare.  there's a lot of knowledge and a wealth of
experience and wisdom here.  write when you are able and read when you
unable to write.  we'll be here when you need us.

i'm kate, age 58.  i have a terrible sense of humor and sometimes, a
humorous sense of terrible.  i have osteoarthritis, degenerative disc
disease, osteopenia, and could continue to enumerate a litany of other
medical conditions that would bore the socks off a cat's paws.  did i
mention my fondness for dark dove chocolate?  beware of the chocolate
thieves on asa.  i'll let them introduce themselves<smile>.
